      If you're not worried about getting the two bolts off of the top muffler flange, just cut the pipe off and take the whole thing to the cycling center.

    I put this borla exhaust on my 2015 4runner. I also put on a 07 Tacoma Y-Pipe we had but never used(went with headers on that truck). We had to make modifications to the Borla exhaust to fit the Y-Pipe. I been running it for over 6 months and I love it.

    I'll be doing this same set up tomorrow! Thanks for mentioning the removal of the sheild. I had planned on putting the jack stands on the frame to let the axle drop lower. But now that I see how your idea works, I'll try that.

    It's amazing how little difference you can tell from stock. I enjoyed how you emphasize the responsiveness of the throttle and how it was just throaty enough to be enjoyable, compared 2 the magnaflow which actually provides a audiatory difference and possibly other gaines unmentioned, awesome review

    This is probably the best exhaust option as it isn't overly loud and even improves the tone from stock. Do they publish the horsepower improvements like Magnaflow? Notice he has the TRD air filter kit as well, interested in upgrading my '18 TRD Off Road with this system, great vid, best demonstration of the sound comparisons I've found yet and yet so simple.

    • @SnailTrail4x4
      @SnailTrail4x4  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really with I could have ran a Dyno test before and after with that kit. The 4Runner we installed the exhaust on actually doesn't have the TRD intake. It's a bit confusing because there are two whjte 4Runners. Thanks for the compliment and support!

    • @coppcar
      @coppcar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just talked to their CA office. This was discussed. Toyota has a slight design difference between the TRD Off-Road models and the Pro and it caused this very thing. They had to replace a lot of bumpers because of it. Do you have a Off-Road or Pro and the "Touring" exhaust? If so, that's your trouble. You need the 'S' type exhaust. If it's too loud, you need to add a resonator in the pipe. He said there is a 10" section for the purpose between the muffler and the cats.

      This version was an SR5. I am not sure if it will fit a TRD off road version because of the KDSS. That said, I also don't think they run the exhaust a different way for the two types. It seams that would be silly engineering.

I was talking to a buddy and he said I would definately have to tune it after to prevent ruining the engine or ecu due to running lean or issues with back pressure. Is this true?
