10:30 thats a cool moment here, the tower will high five you when your waiting time to get a high five from a teammate runs out. So if they dont want to high five you back, you can always find support from your towers :) (if you still have them)
The funny thing about Dota 2, if you tell your team that you're learning/practicing it's an unspoken rule to never be rude to new players or risk being flamed to a personal level.
back in 2015-2018 I'd say dota was at least three times more toxic than league but recently i agree everyone is a team player especially towards newbies
@@yoncreator yes, if they think you know the game they will flame you if you are playing stupid...but if you say you are new people are a lot more understanding. It's an older community so they are a lot more understanding than League bros.
Dark Willow might be the hardest support hero ever, she really needs +1 to make impact, and her 3rd requires game knowledge and perfect timing to execute, like what skill can be dodged and what can't. Terrorize is aoe skillshot that requires prediction and also perfect timing. I much prefer simpler heroes like lion as support. But man how you improved!
Not really, Willow as a support are pretty effective with three disables and shadow realm that gives you a lot of survivability as well as a mini death ward as an ult. The downside is that she only has one instant disables and it only roots. Maybe not as easy as, say ogre or CM. But it's a lot easier than say IO (who only have slow) or AA. Like, as long as you don't use shadow realm offensively until you get agh, you should be fine. Edit: Ah I got things wrong. Bramble is not instant as it took about the same length as Leshrac Earth shock. Still it's inner 4 bramble had about the same radius as lvl 4 earthshock so hitting at least one hero shouldn't be a problem.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun playing and making this one. That last fight was something I put a lot of time into in the editor, so glad to see you enjoy it!

Wow, thank you for checking out my video! Always awesome to see Dota veterans in the comment section! That's a really cool insight! I’d love to hear your thoughts-what about this video stood out as unique or fills a gap in the community?
@@yoncreator we do have high MMR streamers like qojqva, we do have smurf content like rizpol, we do have techiesofficial spamming only 1 hero highskilled. I know dota is complex, it took me years to understand how to play properly. The game misses new players, that’s the point.
To understand how spells work on different heroes, I would recommend playing against bots, private lobby with an experienced friend or hopping into demo and experimenting on your own :) Definitely helped me, some spells have a delay/ animation, some are instant casts
Great video. I've stopped playing this game since COVID came out and enjoy playing Valorant and sometimes League. The coach is also great at coaching you and i didn't even know you can counter Techies's mine sign by standing still.
Thank you for watching! Valorant and League are both super fun games, I play them as well! Coach Tzar Potato is great and I am very grateful to have his help!
Well, it's better to think of Willow's Q as a zoning ability. In most cases, you are just gonna want to drop it down in the direction they are moving in, unless in specific situations where you know that you can maximise the hits. That way, they have more brambles to dodge and more likely they will eat more than one bramble. However, if an enemy is getting chain stunned or securing a rune or if the enemy is spawning back from aegis, that's when you wanna use it more directly.
idk if tzar potato mentioned this (maybe it's even in a video and i just missed it) but a small thing to learn: when you're low and getting gone on, throwing your blood grenade will almost never help you live, because it takes away the HP it passively gives you and generally the slow is not enough to let you escape
As a tip, I am a huge proponent of using quickcast on release for pretty much all skills and items in game (some exceptions i set for quickcast on keypress). It works so if you click a spell like brambles and hold the key, you still get indicators shown and to cast it afterwards you release the key. It has both benefits of normal cast with range indicators as well as speed benefit because you don't have to add more clicks to confirm casts and you can be pretty much instantaneous if you release it quickly!

in dota once a player/team just managed to have an overwhelming advantage they can walk through the tower no problem generally you want to figure out your team's dps is higher than your enemy, or at least able to kill the enemy's key player (usually the farmed core, sometimes can be initiators like enigma) if you/your team have a way to cc like enigma black hole, time to kill is more important because enigma might not get a 5-man bh and a cc'd enemy don't get to fight back as well (you don't always have to focus on black holed enemy) as for number advantage vs disadvantage, it depends on which heroes are in the equation and how farmed they are i.e: disruptor with ult + lich with ult would decimate 2 or more enemies that stands too close together dark willow doesn't have a lot of options to do damage to multiple enemies, dark willow do dps to single target and controls with aoe so dark willow being squishy doesn't have good prospects in a 1v5 if your team can't back you up with damage within 2-3 seconds

Yeah I definitely understand, the early games were a bit rough haha. I have a video on my channel where I play Hoodwink in Turbo as one of my early games. In my opinion, the biggest part of what makes League -> Dota so hard is that there are some very fundamental game design differences between the two. For example, most League players can't get used to the super slow turn rate in Dota, so they will say the game "feels laggy." Since League has instant turn rate, it feels way more like a "fighting game" where your inputs are instant and you can mechanically instantly outplay people. Just the turn rate issue + basic attack animations being super long for some Dota heroes is enough to make League players not wanna play Dota because coming from League it just feels so uncomfortable. This sounds like an oversimplification but in my opinion the only way to really convert to Dota is to just keep playing it and get used to all the differences and quirks of the game. Once I got used to turn rate, differences in attack animations, etc I could enjoy the game more for what it was. But for most League players that will be really hard because they'll always be comparing these differences between Dota and League, since League is what they know and feel comfortable with in a moba.

map on the right😭😭😭😭😭😭....gives me anxiety
Haha so many people get upset about the map on the right, I hear you! But I kept clicking on it when it was on the left, so I moved it
@@yoncreator coming from league, the only reason I moved map to left was cuz I kept buying tp scrolls when I wanted to run to base...
takes some time to get used to it, but now it feels like it always was meant to be like it lol
Ursa trying to farm against spectre I know you'd lose
I know I was so sad :(
i imagined tzar potato as an asian dude in his 20s with a forced english accent. im wrong
I thought he was a talking potato until he started coaching me!
If you’re interested in more coaching I’d be really keen to help ya out, hit me up
Wow, thank you for the offer! I'll be sure to reach out in the future!
NA coaching
Why not trying Hero like Ogre Magi or Specter? I think that is a good Hero for beginner or the brain dead Hero like Bristle Back?🤔
I'll put them on the list! Thanks for watching!
@yoncreator Dude iam really enjoying it keep the good work😁👍
TA?
She's on the list now, thank you!
@@yoncreator oh damn, would love to see, she is a physical ranged mid laner. she can be a monster and dominate the whole match. cheers
yopu can press w an tp home
Great tip! thanks!
it's a dying game, we need more new player tbh.
I'm happy to help! It's a great game!
not everyone is nice to new players but if the community can get 80% of the player base to be positive then it would be easy to keep new people
you'll need a new generation of kids who enjoy playing complex games for that....kids nowadays plays roblox. that's the most complex they can play. anything beyond that makes their brains hurt
Play at SEA hahahaa!
I might have to try in the future!
don't worry, even underlord mains don't know his skills, they just spam them and be tanky all the time and that's the most annoying thing ever and everyone hates going against him
LOL thank you for making me feel better - I genuinely laughed a lot reading your comment!
Tzar is a negative coach, don't like that at all. Can't stand that guy.
yeah less toxic, until you play rank game
haha true, ranked is a different beast!
