    It would be fascinating to discover the history of who founded your Kilmarnock, when and why they left Scotland, there may be a link to the 1745 Jacobites as Lord Kilmarnock and his son, along with many men from Kilmarnock ( Scotland) fought on the side of Charles Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) and had to flee the country after Culloden.

    Correction: The first historical reference to Kilmarnock is on the 1606 Map of Virginia by Captain John Smith. Kilmarnock was the Native American word for the area. Just like Rappahannock, Tappahannock etc. The link to Kilmarnock Scotland was fabricated later by white Christians.

      Find the two squares on the left (south) side of Potomac River. They look like Dice with two dots. Kilmarnock (olde English Kilmurnich) is directly to the left of the upper of those two cubes.
