  • as Thai, I would like to share another point of view about Thai coconut industry and monkey slaves which have been talking recently.
for Thai, we can't refuse that, in some points that PETA mention said are true. There are several type of people "GOOD and BAD" as every where else. There are people who use animal to make them the best profit, but that is just one part.
PETA showed the bad part in Thai coconut industry and blame us.
We are the victim from their news as well. In Thailand there are no only bad people. In the other hand, we also train the monkey as a friends, as one of family members, like you pet dogs or cats. Training them also consume a lot of time and love and care.
Monkey and coconut picking are Thai traditional folkways which hard to be seen day by day, you can only see in the Southern Thailand.
Besides, Thai coconut industry in other part of Thailand are using human workers from generation to generation. It bases on their folkways in that region.
Thai coconut farmers will bear this burden from the inaccurate information
    Please consider the news sensibly.
I would like to share my view to others contries
I translated the video by myself from Thai.
