I am so glad that you enjoyed the home visit!!! Stitching really is so fun, when I am not plagued by anxiety or stressing over silly things... I have been working on the Forest Stream again and the Birds and Blackwork flowers are on the qsnap now, too! Exciting! ❤

Hi there, Laura! I’ve been so behind in watching flosstube so it was really nice to see a new episode from you. You always make me smile with your cute giggles! So many pretty projects..especially the gang gang cockatoos! I had to pause the video and go search for that pattern lol I found one on Etsy that seems to be the correct one. I love red and that pattern will be a joy to stitch. I’ve gotten some finishes recently which has inspired me to work more on my wips. I get antsy having too many unfinished projects at one time, and there are so many I’d love to start..and buy! I am going thru something similar right now where i want to finish things ive started, but i also want to start everything i have, and ive also been struggling constantly thinking about the patterns in my wishlist on 123 stitch- like i know i shouldnt be buying MORE but the feeling to just get them is overwhelming and its taking over all my thoughts if that makes sense! I want to be fiscally responsible 😉 but i also want to calm the beast and just hit "add to cart" 😂....i think the part of me that needs retail therapy is going to win out lolololol

Hi Laura! I enjoyed the home visit! Congrats on all your finishes- they’re all so cute! I love the birch tree pattern you bought- we have a lot of birch tree art in our house. I also love the cabin on the island pattern. I’d love to stay there as well. Let’s have a stitchy weekend in that cabin! Your baking looked delicious. Was the blueberry loaf good? It looked delicious! I’ve been buying cross stitch patterns like I’m going to live forever, lol. I try telling my husband that there’s the collecting aspect of cross stitch, but I don’t think he buys that argument, lol!

That little raccoon made me smile from ear to ear--so cute! And that little sparrow is so sweet; such a fabric choice for it! Holy moly, are you cranking out the finishes, my dear! As envious as I am about all those finishes, I think I'm even more envious over how beautifully you make French knots. Mine never ever look that good. Ahhh--the cockatoos--I'm dying from all this cuteness, Laura!

It really was so nice to get some of those small finishes. Cheered me up and got the wip numbers down, even though I have since started new things... bigger projects. LOL. I really should never count my wips again, I think!!!!
Oh boy... French knots... I am so not good at them. They vary enormously. Sometimes they look fairly decent, but then I get lots with the loose loops. sigh. It is so frustrating to make them. Ah, I just remembered that in my dream someone asked me for a custom order and they wanted a sky full of French knots for stars. Eek!!!
And yes, Alisa Okneas really does have a LOT of wonderful patterns. I have quite a few waiting to be stitched. Makes me want to start them all really... I really need to come see what you are stitching. I am so behind with everything on Instagram. ugh.

I used to buy my Russian kits on eBay, but due to war, there are no Russian sellers there at the moment. Sigh. There is a German online shop that sells a lot of different Russian kits:

But also 123stitch carries a fair bit of RTO kits, which is great. I have bought quite a few from there, too. Of course, mybobbin also has lots of Russian kit. For some reason, no RTO kits, but many others for sure.

Such a nice visit, Laura. I enjoy seeing what you're working on, and the patterns you choose are different from what I see elsewhere so that's a nice change. I like whimsy in stitching so your patterns are such fun to see. Can't say I've ever heard anyone buying patterns calling it curate your own art collection lol. I love your little video format. I enjoy your excitement of speaking about each project while you are in the moment rather than watching you try to remember what you did 2 or 3 weeks ago. If I was to do a flosstube, this is the format I would have. Your projects are wonderful.
I am so glad that you enjoy the little videos. They are such a good way for me to make the flosstubes as if I had to do it all in one go, I would stress so much and not remember anything at all. It is nice to talk about what my plans are before I start to stitch and see if I end up going a totally different direction after all.

I have been looking for you! Such a great treat to finish my 13 hrs work and get to enjoy your video when I’m home. I stitched the painting girl for my daughter. I framed it with shells glued to the bottom. Yours is better than mine of course. 😊
