I sent my children to bed. Then I went to bed. As I was dozing off without you, I heard a sound coming from the living room. It was the sound of naughty children out of bed. To which instead of getting up to yell at them which never works, I had another idea. I enlisted the assistance of your deep, masculine voice by bluetoothing my phone to the TV and like magic, your video popped up on the TV screen. The screaming was hysterical. Hysterical as in, I was in my room laughing hysterically trying to be quiet. Then soon, it got quiet. You told them to lie down. You told them you like apples. That resonated well with them. Then, you read them a bedtime story. Now, they are actually asleep. Who knew? But thank you. 🙏

Would love to hear one of these read in arabic. Somebody else asked if youd do a video in arabic, i think one of these would be especially enjoyable. I like listening to other languages even if i struggle to learn them, all the sounds so musical. Asmr is a special medium to hear them.

I never had a proper dad and have been struck lately at how many wonderful loving fathers there are in Gaza. I love the Arab dad persona, it’s a reassuring little fantasy to sleep to. This was really good because I remember my mum reading us The Hobbit when we were kids. I’m subscribed now! Would be very happy if you ever wanted to read in Arabic sometimes. I don’t understand it (apart from Inshallah!) but it always sounds beautiful and I’ve been thinking about learning. Anyway thanks for making my horrible night so much nicer and relaxed.
