I feel like I’m always apologizing for being late with videos hahah BUT THIS TIME I was actually going to be ready on time - I filmed the set up at the end of June but decided while I was editing that I didn’t like it. Tbh I still dont think its good enough (I definitely could have explained certain things better) but I hope at least it gives you a good enough idea of how I have set it up and why 😁
Also I am V V V sorry for being like halfway out of frame for the majority of the video hahaha….I have the most chaotic filming set up and can’t really see what I am doing half the time - we’re working on it 😬 done is better than perfect right?

I am a die-hard stalo-nichi planner! I use a cousin avec and (2) half year stalogies to do other types of lists, notes etc. :) Love to see another person who does that! My EDC is VERY *chunk* but I remove books as I need to cary around. Wishing you the best in your next phase of your dissertation process!

I need to do a video on this! what I typically use in a day: pentel energel clena 0.3, tombow fudenosuke hard tip, mildliner higlighters, and pentel sign brush pens in various colours! 🤍

Im using a hobonichi cousin with a fountain pen and special ink. But i hate how it smudges. Thinking of buying other pens but im not sure which ones.
ahh thank you so much! i pretty much exclusively use a pentel energel clena in 0.3 for all of my hand writing. its my favourite and works really well with the tomoe river paper. I love fountain pens but don't use them much. Though I have hear the "de atrementis" archive ink is very tomoe river paper friendly with minimal smudging. could be worth a shot!
Awesome! I'm a PhD in hard knock life so I get it. No but honestly great set-up. I have a engineering degree with a masters in healthcare administration and over 17 years experience in technical program management.

Always love your content. Was wondering if you could include more of your process for planning the different tasks associated with writing/organizing your dissertation in future videos. I am curious how people who use bound books actually plan out intricate projects such as a thesis/dissertation. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it and have been threatening to use Notion but I’m a paper and pen person at heart, so even that is difficult and I find myself frozen with inaction some days because my system isn’t working for me.
ohhhh a writing/organizing idea would be such a great idea for a future video - I will get brainstorming on that one! I totally empathize with how you are feeling - I remember during my MA, the organization & structure of my thesis was THE hardest part about the entire thing. video to come soon 🤍
I love how you use these two in conjunction with each other, I also use a cousin with a bujo and it’s such a magical combo, I’m curious as to where you got your tabs and if they are repositionable?
hey! i got most of my tabs from @createwithmandy - i find they are perfectly sized for A5 notebooks. they're def not repositionable though hahaha. when i need repositional tabs i typically use the smallest size from @avery 🤍

I have no words but thank you. I have recently come across your channel and the way that your mind works speaks to the way in which my mind works. I too have mental illness and the finding a way to both meet my need to plan & be systmaotically with my have to dos and low motivation levels has always been a huge struggle for me. Seeing a system in place and hearing your mentality behind it clicks with me :). I have never heard of auto-ethnology but I am super interested in learning more and all about your research.
