You just discovered my favorite band, PLUS a song that is hard to come by these days. There was a time a few years back when this song was on TH-cam and let me tell you, it was one of the most requested songs because of the "call and response" solo section between Kanami and Misa. It is magical. Unfortunately it is very hard to find this particular performance these days and so many folks have not even heard it.... And then you come along and BANG, there it is. @@erinna_the_white_rose Had given up on rock and hard rock music for over 30 years. I've been playing bass guitar for over 35. No I'm not a professional musician, I do it for personal enjoyment. But the music industry in the US has really bit the big one the last three decades or so. I was actually listening more to jazz big band and swing music the last 15 years. And I stumbled across this group about two and a half years ago. And I've been blown away ever since. I go for more of their melodic stuff. Then their harder faster stuff. Either way the band is so amazing and incredible. Thanks for the response and all the selection I've given you are top notch. Take care and be well !
Aw, that guitar/bass/drum interlude is one of rock music's most iconic moments. A couple of years ago, I had never heard of Band-Maid. First day i got intro'd to them, that video won me over. Instant fan. Now it's my favorite band. I hope that footage does the same for you. As for lyrics, try searching BAND-MAID Don't You Tell Me english translation at abc song lyrics site. You said hopefully you'll be able to react it. You shouldn't experience any problems, however, TH-cam may delete the original upload you watched. It's happened before, and I was kind of shocked that live clip showed up on a TH-cam recommendation.

It was new & refreshing from the countless cookie cutter bands & then i went on a mass devouring trip of everything about B-M i could find on YT....Hmm🤔, i guess we're both still doing it today :)

For me, the day 1 clincher was seeing a bass player run across a stage to go toe-to-toe against what I had already determined (from watching so many live videos and fan cams that day of Kanami shredding) to be a world-class guitarist. However, I am kind of thankful I did NOT watch "Don't You Tell Me" as my very first video, only because for me, in hindsight I needed to first be convinced of Kanami's incredible might (after watching prior videos) to appreciate the full impact of that bad @ss bass player challenging her 1-on-1. In that moment, my jaw absolutely dropped. That moment became larger than mere music. It was a moment for every parent that ever raised a daughter, for everyone that ever got relegated to playing bass, for every underdog. I didn't even know her name yet (which prompted me to immediately research her on the Internet), but MISA instantly became my hero. And when the 2 of them turned and faced the crowd, I cried my eyeballs out. What a show! I've followed rock music since the 60's, and the only prior time I recall guitar/bass jamming face-to-face like that was Kiss when I saw them in the 70's, but they were merely facing each other, not doing call and response. Band-Maid had brought something so unique to the stage. During the 70's, I became a big fan of Kiss and Queen, and loved going to those bands' live shows. The theatrics, the visual acts, the stage personas. By the end of my Day 1 with Band-Maid, I had seen a TON of Queen and Kiss in that band's work. From the obvious Kabuki Theater, costumes, heavy makeup, stage props, dry ice, insane lighting and lasers, fires and pyrotechnics on stage (2017 Shinkaba) and in MV ("The Non-Fiction Days"), and two band leaders in front (Saiki/Miku) working the crowds every song like nothing I've seen since Freddie and Brian. And, the icing on the cake for me was that Non-Fiction Days MV filmed entirely on a beach. I am a lifelong surfer that grew up at the beach. You want to win me over, bring your Kiss fires to a beach and start your hard-rocker with a Queen-inspired phase-changer. One thing I remember about my Day 1, it started when a buddy of mine shared "Thrill" on Facebook, and it ended hours later with me sharing that "Don't You Tell Me" trio interlude on my own Facebook page, with me captioning it as my buddy just turned me onto a new band, and the talent levels of the guitarist, bassist, and drummer are off the charts. And I tagged on it a female bass-player I'm friends with, and recommended she watch MISA play in that interlude.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. But the music industry in the US has really bit the big one the last three decades or so. I was actually listening more to jazz big band and swing music the last 15 years. And I stumbled across this group about two and a half years ago. And I've been blown away ever since. I go for more of their melodic stuff. Then their harder faster stuff. Aw, that guitar/bass/drum interlude is one of rock music's most iconic moments. A couple of years ago, I had never heard of Band-Maid. First day i got intro'd to them, that video won me over. Instant fan. Now it's my favorite band. I hope that footage does the same for you.
As for lyrics, try searching BAND-MAID Don't You Tell Me english translation at abc song lyrics site. You said hopefully you'll be able to react it. You shouldn't experience any problems, however, TH-cam may delete the original upload you watched. It's happened before, and I was kind of shocked that live clip showed up on a TH-cam recommendation.

It was new & refreshing from the countless cookie cutter bands & then i went on a mass devouring trip of everything about B-M i could find on YT....Hmm🤔, i guess we're both still doing it today :)

For me, the day 1 clincher was seeing a bass player run across a stage to go toe-to-toe against what I had already determined (from watching so many live videos and fan cams that day of Kanami shredding) to be a world-class guitarist. However, I am kind of thankful I did NOT watch "Don't You Tell Me" as my very first video, only because for me, in hindsight I needed to first be convinced of Kanami's incredible might (after watching prior videos) to appreciate the full impact of that bad @ss bass player challenging her 1-on-1.
In that moment, my jaw absolutely dropped. That moment became larger than mere music. It was a moment for every parent that ever raised a daughter, for everyone that ever got relegated to playing bass, for every underdog. I didn't even know her name yet (which prompted me to immediately research her on the Internet), but MISA instantly became my hero. And when the 2 of them turned and faced the crowd, I cried my eyeballs out. What a show!
I've followed rock music since the 60's, and the only prior time I recall guitar/bass jamming face-to-face like that was Kiss when I saw them in the 70's, but they were merely facing each other, not doing call and response. Band-Maid had brought something so unique to the stage.
During the 70's, I became a big fan of Kiss and Queen, and loved going to those bands' live shows. The theatrics, the visual acts, the stage personas. By the end of my Day 1 with Band-Maid, I had seen a TON of Queen and Kiss in that band's work. From the obvious Kabuki Theater, costumes, heavy makeup, stage props, dry ice, insane lighting and lasers, fires and pyrotechnics on stage (2017 Shinkaba) and in MV ("The Non-Fiction Days"), and two band leaders in front (Saiki/Miku) working the crowds every song like nothing I've seen since Freddie and Brian.
And, the icing on the cake for me was that Non-Fiction Days MV filmed entirely on a beach. I am a lifelong surfer that grew up at the beach. You want to win me over, bring your Kiss fires to a beach and start your hard-rocker with a Queen-inspired phase-changer.
One thing I remember about my Day 1, it started when a buddy of mine shared "Thrill" on Facebook, and it ended hours later with me sharing that "Don't You Tell Me" trio interlude on my own Facebook page, with me captioning it as my buddy just turned me onto a new band, and the talent levels of the guitarist, bassist, and drummer are off the charts. And I tagged on it a female bass-player I'm friends with, and recommended she watch MISA play in that interlude.

Actually, reading it (& this is true) brings a tear to my eye cos i remember when i first heard them the exact feeling you would've felt.
