I can’t get over how very interesting and informative you are about Lil Peep, I am the Grandma on Grandma reacts channel and even tho I am a Grandma-I always liked lil Peep and became a fan, lil Peep is is a very fascinating study, I always like learning about him. It’s such a shame he past so young. I feel like he was destined for fame and prob could have been a super star. Thank you so much for sharing this channel-it’s one of the best for anyone who is a devoted Peep fan-there’s lot of love and admiration that shines thru in your mesmerizing account of otherwise unknown Peep material. Vaya, me habían dicho que lil peep tenía fans de edad adulta pero no creí ver a alguien escribiendo así de una manera tan asertiva. Es decir, esas palabras son las que usaría para describir el amor que tengo por este tipo, te amo peep.
@@adargafree6696 Hi! Thank you for responding. My grandson had a TH-cam channel back then which I appeared on. I had a lot of fun doing those video/music reviews! I got to know Peep from watching his videos, and I was very impressed with how talented he was and I liked his songs. So, thanks for your comment, it was a sad day when he died and I hope no one forgets him. ❤️
So true, I was also always impressed how many songs he did in his relatively short period of time, and how good they all are - with this much impact and talent, it´s just sad to think about the great music that was still to come and now never will...
really wish peep didnt have to end the way he did. sometimes i imagine he faked it to get his shit together in peace or it’s just some cruel joke but i know it’s not. rest in peace 🖤
I love that him and makkonen got their song out. Also, I think they had something between them and I only love peep more for that. Its a shame he felt that he needed to keep that under wraps. Love you Gus, I watch your live shows on youtube to remember you and never forget the impact you had on your fans. I see my brother rattled my this xanax wave and it fills me with rage. I just am full of rage about this xanax lacing bullshit. I don't want my brother to die. I didn't want you to die. I can't help him like we couldn't help you. I miss you man. Love you buddy.
Thank you for sharing this! I'm glad you gave credit where credit was due. I didn't know about some of the people Peep worked with, so I'm glad I learned something here. I didn't find Peep until a year after he was gone. I was so obsessed with his music it was on loop for 4 months straight. It was the only thing I listened to. Then I eventually found out he passed away the year before. I was crushed. I felt deep sorrow and mournful. I never met him, but just knowing that this beautiful person was no longer able to share his dreams made me feel like I lost someone dear to me. I think about Peep daily, especially around his birthday. So thank you for sharing this with us. Much love from Florida. RIP Peep.
Around 10:20 you hit the nail on the head. I only heard about peep when he died, listened to one track and was nothing short of addicted, in a manic depressive and to hear someone sing about it so openly just caught my ear more than anyone could, once I discovered him I went hunting for all his music and found loads like hell boy nose ring five degrees etc even star shopping which is well known but I never knew these we’re all some of his earlier works which is absolutely shocking! Anyway I’m 10 mins in mate and enjoying it
jacob eden right. I feel you... I try to explain why I love listening to peep so much and the only explanation that I can give is that it makes me feel normal, it makes me feel so less alone when I have all these monsters in my head pulling at me and weighing me down... the first song I ever heard was from COWYS and from there I have gone as far back as I possibly can and I’ve listened to them over and over and over for 2 years now and they will never get old.
i love the production on this video. you did so well telling his story and being incredibly respectful towards his legacy and the people around him. wow.

I moved to Oregon to be closer to LA so I could eventually collaborate with him and his sudden passing brought emptiness to my life. I cried for a week straight. Quit all drugs cold turkey. Everyday since peep passed there's a pit in my stomach when I see videos with him cuz the loss of his life and talent and presence is so immense and tragic his presence is missed on so many levels the goals he didn't achieve cut so deep
Wow thank you for this, I'm crying but finally all the right things were said and people were respected in this. You got it, and him and that's so special. I love to hear someone get how special he was and his music is. YOU hit it right on the head with what you said about none of his work sounding early, or like amateur for lack of a better word. I never listened to all his projects in any order, I was a late coming fan, but luckily was from a while before his death, so I heard things in crazy order not knowing what came first besides any music that may of had video footage showing a baby faced kid with a white tee and barely any tattoos yet. I actually found him looking through and listening to some people my son had become interested in to make sure my 14 year old son wasn't listening to any influential trash (like for instance Pump) not because I want to stifle his independence and musical awakening, but because music is so important to me as I want it to be for my kids. I, like a divining rod was leading my way, happened on Lil Peep and have pretty much listened to nothing else since. The song was High School and I in that moment became his biggest and probably one of his oldest, lol, fans. Right off I spent the whole day saving every bit of him I could collect on TH-cam playlists, I couldn't get enough. I was entranced, I couldn't believe this was music that I hadn't heard or wasn't being produced for the masses beyond sound cloud. I hadn't felt this way or this excited about what an artist had to say since I was 13 and Kurt Cobain became my first obsession of this kind. I was almost unable to believe lyrically a young guy like Gus could have this much heart and such deep thoughts coming from someone so young. My heart breaks for Emma, I had that love and lost it, but not like she did but still permanently. That never goes away but there's a comfort in the memories and she so luckily has this beautiful work of art she inspired so much of. Grateful to his Mom, grateful to Emma, grateful to all his real friends. I won't get into my feelings on certain people because this is all too positive and awesome of a tribute to pollute with certain garbage. Thank you for this and the amazing respect you have shown here for a musician, a legend, that will never die as long as I'm alive as Emma said, he lives lives through her and all of us. His music plays on repeat and I'm as in love with it all as though it was released yesterday. I can't turn it up loud enough and want to scream his name to the world so everyone loves him like I do and respects this absolute trailblazer of music who left this world far too soon. What's amazing is what he left, this amazing body of work like he knew he had to get it all out of his head quickly. Almost like he just knew he wouldn't have long so he had to be amazing from the start and he was. He will be remembered by me as the legend he deserves to and thank God along with people like you who take the time to put together tributes like this, thank you. I'm crying and probably have been since finding his music and that will probably never go away but I think he knew that's what his music was for, making music to cry to. Truly thank you so much this has been my favorite tribute to him I've seen so far. New sub for sure.

Every time I see that clip from the memorial of her I just cry and cry. I don't know why because I am actually a older fan, (I am 34). When I was a teen I didn't have that emotional attachment so much to the greats of my time, but for some reason Peep and Emma's story resonates with me, I am guessing it sort of mirrors my ex and I's relationship and we have a daughter out of the situation which she actually introduced Peep to me funny enough. Even though I am very happy without him in my life now (my daughter's father), it just tends to remind me of a really rough time, but at the same time makes me really happy because of the way he (Peep) has made my daughter and I's relationship so much closer. I hope Peep just knew how far his influence could go!

That part with Gus with his hoodie and flannel on at the beach with Emma. When he asks "Where?" Idk why but I hear myself in him just the same. He's beautiful and I think he's one of the most special people to walk this star.
i can tell you are such a massive peep fan, i know this video is 5 years old now but hey, good job broski, i hope you're doing well :)
Prayers for Emma

to prove one of your points, i always assumed downtown was made around the same time as Castles. I'm bout to go check out your channel (this is my first video), but if you haven't already made a video on the timeline of his discography I would love to see that. Things like when it was recorded and when it was actually released.
