- Hey guys,
Heres the formal build video for the condi alac specter build, and it is definitely one of my favorites. the shadow shroud ability makes it feel really tanky and easy to manage, i typically try to run this build for 100CM or 99CM fractals, however it is viable in many other gamemodes, it also has the ability to swap some traits and skills for more group support which is always a nice touch.

I'm a huge fan of (both playing and seeing) alacrity specters. The amount of CC they can pump out with pistol 4 is stupid (the good kind), and lately, I've been enjoying the heal venom skill as well.

For the longest time, I was doing EoD metas with a very similar build, but with a mixture of ritualist and marshal gear. Good to see specters getting some love.
Specter and virt were the two classes I found the most interesting out of all the elite specs from EOD. It would be nice to see specter get more balance love but it is still good as is. I think thief is just unpopular in general

I caught flak for telling people alac spectre was easy just the other day.
I do have a question though: does anyone know how the auto-tether picks a target ally? In the video you’ve said it picks the closest ally, but I’ve been told it actually picks the farthest ally. The wiki claims it picks a random ally within 1200 range. So I’m not sure who to believe.
I believe enter shadow shroud has the tool tip for closest ally. It is your "nearest shrouded ally" which they get shroud from siphon. This is classic anet complication.

To be honest just play it, if you're not perfect it'll still be fine. I was pretty rusty in 100/99CM in this video but it all worked out okay. Just jump into shroud when you can :)
