During the Thatcher years I worked at London Heathrow for a cargo company and twice weekly Iraqi Airways would send over a freighter aircraft that was loaded up with armaments that we were sending to them.
At the same time we were also handling shipments of armaments (disguised as machine parts) that were being sent to Iran.
The west plays both sides for profit and to keep countries indebted to the banks.

I personally experienced how the NATO is peaciful and defensive alliance when they bomb my country of Yugoslavia. And we are not alone, NATO started more wars in the last 70 years than any other army or alliance in the worlds history.

We appear to choose which countries we care to worry about and which ones less so. Boris looking to use finance and military in repost. So much for peace treaties. Back in the day, we were able to avoid the Cuban missile crises. Nowadays, we talk about "Russia being seen to fail". Each side wanting to up-the-anti. And yet we appear not to learn the lesson of recent times. It's easy to start a war but not to finish it. The best we can hope for is that death and destruction remains contained within Ukriane and does not spill over into other countries and continents in the form of nuclear and other weaponry. If it does, tit-for-tat and escalation will be endless. God bless all those countries who declare themselves neutral in this campaign.

Didn't the UK (together with the US) guarantee the territorial integrity of Ukraine when they gave up nuclear weapons in 1994 in Budapest? If the US doesn't want to do it, then the UK should go help Ukraine without them.
The act does not impose a legal obligation to become militarily involved. They can send weapons and military vehicles and such over though, and provide military intelligence, which they have done. The west or NATO becoming involved in this conflict is the last thing anyone should want. The only reason Putin is invading is because he knows we won't defend a non-NATO country. Otherwise, it'd be WW3 and a nuclear holocaust waiting to happen.
When Russia turns off the gas taps, I look forward to the nations response to discovering that the conservatives had already sold off our gas reserves a few years back.

Putin wouldn't be so quick to challenge Trump I imagine. Trump would be very quick to take action I suspect. Putting probably doesn't want that. I think he's betting on the U.S. not taking any military action during this war.
