      @@StudioROSADO one question, on your serger do you have the cutting blade in the cutting position or not? Seems like it might cut too much off it you did? And I didn’t see any extra coming off. To you just pass by it without using it? I would think it would be hard with a curved piece. I’m just learning how to use a serger I just got it.

      @@wassgang-rq2zk I keep it on 99% of times and here it was on as well, but sometimes I let it cut off a rather tiny part. If you are worried it might cut off too much then you can switch it off, I just find it more difficult to control the seam width then.
      Also, if your fabric is very stretch then don't worry if you accidentally cut off a few millimeters more, the stretchyness will compensate that :)

      @@StudioROSADO thank you for the help and response, I took it off and I’m making almost the same balaclava as you made but a little more custom, I was so worried it would cut off too much because I didn’t have any extra fabric to make things 2xs. But not that it matters anyway I’m just making it for fun. I I’m getting it down pretty goood: thanks again!

    This was such a thorough tutorial THANKYOU!
    I was trying to make something of a modest gym wear by incorporating different stitch designs this one was helpful. I wear a burka (gown) and I cover my face with a niqab (veil) so I was trying to either find something online or design something that can take all of that and still make it functional as sportswear (I do martial arts).
    If you can help with that I would REALLY appreciate it. Eitherway, I just fell upon your channel and I love it. Take care!

      I'm so happy it was helpful ❤️ Sorry, I'm so unfamiliar with Muslim wear. Is it okay to make it of stretch jersey? That would be the best for gym wear. Maybe you have some example photos what would the perfect garment? Could you please send it to info@studiorosado.com
      I will take a look what pattern adjustments we could do :)

      @StudioROSADO Hey, thanks for responding! And no problem at all, muslim sportswear is actually very rare. I've surfed the internet in search of something ready-made and a BIT budget friendly but to no avail. I don't have my materials with me on campus. However, I can paint a rough picture.
      So the point behind Muslimwear is that our body shape is not accentuated, but we still want something functional. For the head and face part, a hooded or windproof balaclava does perfectly. For the torso, a karate gi (Keikogi) with a longer hem can be used as a reference. These two may or may not be combined. For the trouser, I don't know how to better explain this other than saying it is kind of a "patiala shalwar × japanese harem pants" crossover.
      Also for the fabric, a stretch jersey is good but it would be too warm considering it's a lot of covering. So cotton could be the cheapest and most readily available material.
      Let me know if I need to be more clear. English is not my first language and I'm a beginner to sewing - meaning that I basically JUST took an interest in it because I really wanted this outfit to be able to take part in the upcoming on-campus MMA training camp (it's a co-ed University). Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    Hey, love the print and the video. I have the print but when I cut out the shapes my pieces aren't looking like yours, any clues to what I'm doing wrong?

    Whats the name of the fabric that you used

    • @StudioROSADO
      @StudioROSADO  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, this specific fabric is jersey brushed fleece (this one is polyester but there are cotton options too). You can also use a double knit fabric if you want a lighter material :)
