I have seen many people redesign things... but I've never seen anyone redesign dinosaurs WITH TRADITIONAL ARTSTYLE nonetheless. Great job ! Also, It's nice that you put your little "warm up practice" before going into the actual redesign.

The way the main dinosaur's front legs have KNEES on them makes me cringe. I don't know what the creators were thinking. They didn't just not know what dinosaurs look like, they didn't know what ANIMALS look like. They could've looked up a picture of a CAT as a reference image and he would've looked better than he does in the movie. And that says something, since an apatosaurus is nothing like a cat. I never watched the movie because the designs break my soul in a way movie designs seldom do. There's ugly designs, and then there's downright confusing designs. For me, confusing ones are worse, because it just makes you lose faith in humanity that someone could make such a bafflingly awful mistake. At least ugly designs are just an aesthetic preference.
I really hope to see more redesigns, I already got some ideas. Maybe some redesigns of Dinosaur Train characters, as well as a redesign of the Giganotosaurus from JW: Dominion.

this is right up my alley! if there's one thing i desperately want gone from pop culture theropods its the curled-in hands. at this point its just bad character design and ugly, creating a big, blocky area that draws the eye to it. even naked raptors with proper arm placement look more aesthetically pleasing.

My entire drawing career is based around funky little animal designs- most of which are taking part of dinosaur inspired looks. I am a complete SUCKER for realistic proportions and actual uses for stuff like horns and claws. This video is amazing!
I love these designs, but I cannot deny that I still ADORE the Primeval Raptor design. The nice streamlined head (almost shaped like a triangle) the modest size, those QUILLS Easily my favourite raptors in pop-culture
