I am not a whaler and I only have 6250 gems to try to get him but I failed. I later created many new reroll accounts to try to summon him and in the end after over 12 rerolls, I got him. Now I can't decide if I should start the game (which I had played for a over 3 months) from scratch with my favorite unit or just quit the game! hahaha! The reason I had continued playing the game was just to get Gilgamesh unit, that is how badly I want him too but is it worth starting the game from scratch again?

Man I also really want to get Sol, he is so OP. Probably one of the most OP if not the most. He so OP even if he wasn't level 75 he can compete with level 85 characters which is so insane. More power to you and your Channel Ushi-sensei :)
blue sky I agree that Lahar is super OP but with what I've seen so far Sol is even more so, a Sol under 15 limit breaks can one shot multiple enemies in Extra Quests in a single turn while Lahar needs to power up for 1 turn first then attack on his next turn. Also Sol is badically a magic sniper with no height restrictions, I've seen Sol normal attacking enemies really far away and at least at 5H higher than him. Plus he has strong healing which could sustain him. His magic and and physical attack are both very high. In fact I finished a high difficulty multi play quest with just me and a guy using Sol with ease. Sol basically carried the entire fight while I wasn't even able to contribute much damage with my lv 75 Teresa, I mainly focused on tanking and getting treasure chests. Don't get me wrong, Lahar is still awesome but Sol is just an absolute monster with what I've seen so far.
Pethree Asiain i know, i got both of them sol and laharl the problem with sol is That when u fire your skill he takes some time To cast when laharl got instant cast. Most of the time my sol dont got the time To do anything laharl nuke 80% of the map. But yh both of them are realy strong for me That i've tried both i think laharl still little bit better but sol stay godlike unit (sorry for my bad english im french) :)

This video just proves that the summons are weighted lol. Even though that is fairly common in Gacha games. Some 4/5* units have a higher pull rate than others xD.
This was the worst pull I have seen in JP side, is quite odd to see something like this here , in global I see it quite often. I got him on the first 500 pull and I didn't even know he was OP lol, I found out about it later when I played him and read about him.

F2p can do just fine. Masamune is a pretty freakin good unit. And if you grind up your starter units they are actually pretty usable. Plus there are Job 1 units that carry you hard. I mean polin is probably the best unit in the game right now for grinding low-mid level maps and she is a free unit.
Far from it he is broken but larharl after killing like more than 4 enemies will decimate any wind unit. Let say sol vs light matk stage. and Laharl vs wind patk stage laharl > sol any day). Sol is like almost as strong as laharl. But lack tameru that can setup only 1 turn. Laharl other hand can tameru since turn 1 which make him extermely strong as burst dmg. Sol is more about filling the role (having physical shot dmg and magic). But if we talk about true dmg. Laharl win any day
