Warframe Lore | The Mother Orbs EXPLAINED [Profit-Taker & Exploiter]

- The Mother Orb Raknoids of the Orb Vallis, represent some of the most accomplished examples of Corpus technology. Profit-Taker guards the Enrichment Labs while the Exploiter rants and raves around the Temple of Profit.
But what are they and why do they behave the way they do? Join me as we explore this part of the lore and attempt to explain the nature of these AI.

Isn't it interesting that both Nef and Alad V did the unthinkable of trying to harness and integrate with sentient technology. If the sentients do invade.... Parvos is probably the only hope for their faction.
Difference is Alad was tricked and force to work whit them (if you have scanned the lore fragments on jupiter you can learn about it + he says how he was tricked from a mimic sentient)
Nef on the other hand managed to harness sentient tech to some degree, since the exploiter can control the weather. She is overheating, while the last sentient you can fight on the plains can cause lighting whit ease and no negatives to him (and he isnt at full power) imagen a true sentient at full power. How much devastation can cause
We never really fight a true sentient
Sure we fight the small units, but they are only an extention from the true setions
Like mimics being from Natah and part of her
And for the eidolons we know they were split into 3 because of gara, for rapololyst (i am not too sure about it, since in the trailer for the new war we can see multiple of them standing by)
@@limboprime4008 I'm aware of the Alad V, doesnt change the fact that he created the Amalgams, and definitely doesnt change the fact that Sentients are 'all up in the Corpus grill'.
You're right though; We havent fought a complete Sentient yet. Granted, I'm not even sure those exist anymore, because quoting Erra "We are all that's left Natah", and we've seen what a weakened Hunhow was capable of: nearly killing Suda and taking over the Cephalon weave, as well as almost killing our Operator. Orokin created some terrifying monstrosities, that's for certain.
@@Arcantropolo also for parvos the corpus themselves tried killing him multiple times, not succeeding once
So him coming back doesn't seem something that they will be happy about
@@limboprime4008 True. However, for many he is a deity of sorts. Granted the original Corpus ideology differs greatly from the current one (something I lay blame on Parvos himself, as he destroyed their history when they elevated themselves from farmers).
It's going to be hella interesting to see the power struggle; especially considering Parvos gross discontent with Nef Anyo.

But why is he gonna make the sisters fight us, when in the quest he decided to leave the corpus to be the way they are and said he will be neutral? Thats a plot hole DE needs to explain
I hope the third orb comes out with the queen pins update, maybe a "Burden Orb" wich oversees/produces the coolent that flows throuh Fortuna, giving the solaris the duty to make sure it flows without any problems into the right pipes
There's the Exploiter Orb, the Menial Max Notoriety Orb, and then the giant Profit Orb.

I can t wait for the Third Orb to be revealed, you can see it in a lake but it doesn t do anything for now.

They either get rid of it , give it some Lore ( a reason for it being in the pond and why i can t exit it , idk) or make it do something.
In one of the Devstreams from this year Scott said that they have plans to turn the Third Orb in to a Raid

They said that there's plans for à raid with the orb but it's been 2 years, so we will probably never get it

I really wish DE would pause pumping out new quests and go back to the Open Worlds, we still have a Third Orb Mother to fight and I want to see what she's like.

Hi. I was wondering for your thoughts on Deimos? In comparison to other lore chunks of warframe I feel that it was really thrown into the world. To my understanding the reason the tenno are able to utilize void energy is because of the process of them coming to be, as well as "The Heart" being Lua, but with the heart being revealed to be a part of deimos feels just out of place to me
The Exploiter Orb came across as a weird hybrid of Margaret Thatcher and 2000AD. Probably intentional.
liked and subscribed, by far the best Warframe lore video I've seen. Very little spoilers, and a large collection of obscure lore I never would have found myself

Why is the objectively weaker and smaller Raknoid mother have toriods that are worth more (the most)?
Because the Exploiter was supposed to be stronger than the profittaker
Technically there is supposed to be only one Exploiter, and thus has the highest quality toroid. The Profit Takers are produced in quantity, and thus there will be quality drops in the toroids
from a gameplay angle I see it as maybe its greater accessibility for farming.

Actually have a theory that formed after we heard Lotus mention to her mother that she was going home, that the Orb Mothers personalities were influenced by this 'mother's mentioned by the Lotus

The explorer orb sounds exactly like the lotus. An we are her children.. i take this as, the mother is a victim just like lotus an created using the same tech.

You'd think the Corpus would have been pissed off if Exploiter Orb had destroyed Fortuna. That is their labor force.
Currently we only know of 3 orbs and there scary power that can rivel ours
But i wonder why no one on the board has tried to stop this projekt, or nef himself

Since another example i can give is, the sentients having an armada of rapololyst and armies like the sentient on the plains. And i wonder if nef is building an army of the orbs in secret from us and everyone else, since lore wise he has no orbs left (only the 3rd one is alive technical, but i would count her death since i know we can take her on pretty easy) would make him weak and an easy target for others. Yet there isn't any change really for how much power he holds
