Zwarte' was the Sh!t. Still have them in heavy rotation on my mp3. They Played Decatur many times and had a packed house about every night. Wed. trough Sun. Once I was turned onto them, I was there every night localy. Miss them. I have some bootleg clips of a couple of their performances. Old Hounddog, Green Acres, Laughing Girl(Eating Twinkies), RedHot Lover, Tennessee Waltz, Ladybug Picnic and Pickin' Up Strangers. + I have a couple of them posted on my page.
I miss all of you and met you for the first time at the royal grove in Lincoln after dancing u beautiful men came and played. knew your first cousin Mike McDonnell in siouxfalls so yet the last time I saw you. lead singer was in doland so and I was pregnant by David waldner and was actually due to give birth that day really miss you brothers and am now in my forties yet thank you all for always being there. also seen you in fort pierre I think I was in my 20
I was there. I did roadie for that concert in ft Pierre it was Head East , Nazereth , Zwarte fun day And a great experience for the music industry behind the scenes .
The Blaze in Lincoln NE played Lucy & Easy Streets on the radio all the time when the songs were released. Really tall dude named Gabe ran the station when it was brand new, he had such good taste in music, I was so lucky to get exposed to bands like Zwarte. 😛
Followed them for many years,went to see them every chance we had. Even had them stay at our home.
