This is a clever design. Too bad they wanted to do it with electric. Would be genius to use magnets to float it and compressed cold liquid methane to spin it shape it like a jet and ignite it half way down the tube. I'm gonna go bang one out in my garage. electric has mad torque but you're right that it isn't as complex. Working on a solar solution...
