The system is hydraulic, not air. AHC stands for Active Height Control.

I find that if your system is not working and replaced a motor to engage it, hold the suspension control and high and then start the vehicle that usually will prompt the pump to initiate. I just had an issue with mine. Lexus couldn’t get it to work. I went into the shop and did this and now my pump is working just fine.

Having the same problem....I replaced the AHC pump..... it's still showing check 4 wheel ahc.... must I do the special function before it will work.....in my case the two front wheel at down

What do you suggest to do if I get the message on the scan machine "abnormal fluid pressure".
Everything worked fine. I changed the accumulator globes, refilled the ahc fluid, bled the system. But now it is stuck in "LO" height. Nothing works, cuz on the dash it says "check 4 wheel ahc system".
Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I have a 2011 LX 570.

@@ModernAutoElectrician thank you for your response. I checked already, overthere it is ok. Just the pump doesn't want to go on by itself. Checked the pump, it still works, but by itself it does not know to kick on. Any suggestion how to activate it or prime it?
