Pulling the fuse and disconnecting the comp defeats the purpose of adjusting the sensors for lift. To do a sensor lift you just need to adjust the sensors while keeping AHC functioning as normal just at a higher setting. If you want a permanent high mode, (higher than sensor lift) you put it in high and then disconnect the comp and pull the fuse.

285/70/R17 is my choice .. It’s half an inch less than 295.
I only sensor lift it and kept AHC functioning normally, using it for both on road and off-road.
My advice is to delete AHC only in case you’re changing to aftermarket off-road suspension.
Issue with keeping AHC at its highest position is that it is bumpy

I highly advise against locking the truck in high permanently. When I showed how to do that it was to show how the systems works and how the network ECU checks for other modules on the Canbus and what happens if it doesn’t see the AHC module. This is something that, as I mentioned in my video, in actual practice wouldn’t make sense for day to day use. You are going to have a stiff ride and lose all the handling and responsive benefits of AHC.
How does disabling the height control affect the hydraulic lift system? Does it totally negate it or if that system fails will the body drop down to lowest position?

What do you think the max rim/tire size would be on a 2008 570? I'm ok with some trimming and maybe a running board delete, I'm not rock crawling this will be my Snow Cruiser, I live in Lake Tahoe. 33” tire size with slight trimming on front. 285/70/r17 with 25 offset. About an inch wider than standard offset.
By disconnecting the computer, are you still able to transition to medium height when you want? I would like to keep mine on high mode past 20mph, but will i be able to manually lower it from the switch?
So 8.5 inch wide wheels with a +25mm offset? And no rubbing after flaps modified? If so, thanks

I just got a 2014 LX570. It's on 20" factory wheels. Can I fit 35x12.50x20 AT/MT with Sensor lift. Won't be wheeling with this 570. Just for the looks.
will this set up rub if flexed fully and/or fully turned and flexed?
Hello, no issues there, we did have to trim a small amount on the front fender liner and the rear of the front fender liner.
Can you just perform a sensor lift and not pull that fuse?
You don't pull any fuses or disconnect the AHC ecu when doing a sensor lift. I'm not sure why these guys pulled the fuse.
I believe that they pulled the plug so that it can stay on high mode. I did the sensor lift without pulling the plug and it won't stay on high mode. Which is an extra 2 inches on top of the sensor lift.
@@jackhilex1 sensor lift is different than putting it in high and pulling the fuse. To do a sensor lift you just move the sensor and that's it. The AHC function is retained with the difference that each mode (low, normal, high) will now be about 1" higher. Pulling the fuse after sensor lift just disables AHC. If you want more lift then you can put it in high, pull the fuse and disconnect the ECU but this isn't recommended.
