Incredible, to be able to watch the construction from a solid piece of wood.
Despite the use of Electric sanders, drills and chain saw, it remains an art and not a assembly line production, like that of guitars. Priveledged to be able to see the construction.

thanks for watching . we used chain saw, sander and drills just to speed up the process and make it easy , however all the work that we do is done by hand . it is even difficult to use electric equipment because it takes precision as one over cut can ruin the whole instrument . the wood that we have used is mulberry (Toot or Shah toot ) , which is used especially for the construction of Afghan Rubab.

I started making one before but I used a wood too soft for the task.

Those animal horns are for making the pick.
Yeah it takes patience and dedication to construct an instrument that is not only beautiful and unique, but also makes an amazing sound .
The horns are used to make bridge (only for high end Rubabs like this one ) , and are also used to make picks .
