    Assuming these don’t cycle?? I know mine don’t lol

    • @ZachTries

      it's 50/50 on cycling really.

      @ you running a short barrel with lightweight buffers??

    • @ZachTries
      @ZachTries  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@CypressSpring Nope, all my setup is pretty standard carbine stuff. 16" barrel with carbine-length gas system. Maybe I got lucky with a weaker spring or something. I've since stopped using subs in ARs because of of the squib incident. So I only use them in bolt action now.

    I really enjoy this powder crazy to think that you only get a half of pound per can so bulky!! I was surprised how well it worked in the rcbs powder flow !! Great vid!!

    • @ZachTries
      @ZachTries  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But with only a few grains per round, you get so many rounds out of that little half pound. Haha. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Zack,
    I'm also using sub 223 with a can, and wondering how you get yours to cycle with the lower charge. Did you change the spring?

    • @ZachTries
      @ZachTries  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I didn't change anything. Maybe I've got a soft spring, but it only cycles 50/50.

    The problem I have when I clean the brass, is that there is always some corn cob stuck in the flash hole. How do you deal with that problem? Why don’t you do a video about what happens when you reload a rifle round and tumbling media remains/lodged in the brass. How it effects pressure, accuracy, and how likely it is to blow up the gun. You make awesome videos and I'm most grateful for all the work you do.

    • @ZachTries
      @ZachTries  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great idea. I don't use corn cob media in my tumbler. I actually wet tumble with stainless steel pins. Even when they are wet they don't really get stuck in the case or the hole.

    Man I used to buy beck ammunition subsonic 77gr expanding rounds before they became “extinct” haha. I wish I could still get them because it’s awesome for blasting armadillos that are tearing my yard up at 2am

    Where did you find data for the load to come up with a recipe that has the projectile traveling less than 1,100 FPS? I have been using reloading books and have found some websites that have FREE data but not always able to find data that I trust.

    • @ZachTries
      @ZachTries  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! I actually use hodgdon’s own reloading site: www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle and just select 223, 55gr projectile, and trailboss. On there is says 4gr of powder. But I’m at a higher elevation and colder air so anything over 3.6 and I get the supersonic crack.
