    This is fantastic! The only problem is that the free Solver tool is limited in how many variables you can solve for. However, the company Frontline sells upgraded Solver versions that can take more variables.

    hello, thank you for this video. How would i add an constraint that stops people working certain shifts? For example if a nurse works tuesday they cannot work thursday, or if a nurse works saturday they cannot work sunday?

      Hmm, you could make another cell/constraint so that Tuesday + Thursday is less than or equal to one.

    how is it that Mitchell chose NOT to work on Tuesday (with value 2) but chose to work on Saturday (with value 1)?
