This team is moving in a positive direction , for the first time since before Mike Gillis sent it down the river with all or nothing management, and Jim Benning picked up the torch without even knowing how fire burns you! As long as ownership continues to put trust in Jim Rutherford and company, and STAYS THE HELL out of trying to manage the team themselves, then, there may be an actual COMPETITIVE future for The Canucks! Makes you kind of feel warm inside, doesn't it? Now, next training camp, hire Wayne Gretzky for one hour, and have him teach the team his mantra: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. (Could've helped a lot this playoffs too, but, as they say, hindsight is recognozing how they F'ed THAT UP! 😜)

I know people are happy because they did more then expected.
But the coach and managements decision to not take advantage of LTIR rules to ice a better team come playoff time. Shows they don’t know how to run a team in 2024.
It’s true that petey needs to learn how to play hurt as you will get hurt come playoff time. However it would have helped the team for him to rest and give them the cap room to add 2-3 more players. They would have been the potential difference and petey would have been fresher to start the playoffs.
