After he realized the title that the jade emperor gave him was the lowest of rankings in heaven so he gave that title onto himself and caused an outrage above heaven, sending celestial soldiers and even LiJing and his 3rd son, nezha in order to subdue him but to no avail they failed.
I love this story, they did a great job making it all compelling I’ve heard more than a few people say Tataru is the true hero of the story, and one friend of mine has been waiting for The Rise of Tataru expansion since he started playing
That's why no one would ever suspect her. Its the Superman/Clark Kent technique. Pretend to be an idiot and no one will think it's possible for you to be a superhero. Grant it there's the height issue but she's just standing on a few other lalafell under the outfit

I stand by my belief that Tataru is the final boss of FFXIV. Wouldn't surprise me if she's secretly been Yojimbo this whole time.
