one of my fav plays is Rampant rejuvinator then bestow nyxbloom hydra to it to make it big, sac it to greater good draw cards and get lots of lands out of the deck to make ulvenwald hyrda big. best part about nyxbloom hydra is it becomes a creature when it drops off the sac'd creature.
Thanks for checking out this episode of the podcast! Have you every played with or against a Gargos commander deck? Definitely a blast to play! Do you have a favorite commander? We'd love to know who it is! Let us know!
Just found this video, and it gave me some ideas... I absolutely love Gargos! My flavor leans really hard into x or 4+ colorless cost hydras I can cheat out for max value and every "target creature fights" spell there is. I call mine Hydra Barfight.
Very nice, that's a good way to build the deck as well. Had initially thought about building it that way, but eventually went the way I did. Really enjoy both styles of deck!
I’m fairly new to the game and have decided I want my first commander build to be Gargos Vicious Watcher. What do you think about Helm of the Host in this deck?
Very good explanation on cards to use in deck, I saw It was updated a month ago and was surprised it only had 15 creatures in deck with only about 5 of them being hydras? I'd probably say it needs more creatures so I'll be looking into that a bit more
I wonder if monstorous onslaught would be useful in this to poke your guys for atleast 1 damage and the rest on an opponents creature if any left over ?
It depends on how you build the deck. I would say almost categorically yes because Hydras as a creature type already care about +1/+1 counters. Is there a world where you don't run Ozolith in Gargos? I could see arguments against running it, but there'd have to be a pretty good reason why you're not including it.
it does. however good spells or auras have totem armor or indestructible. also you can fight in the enemies endstep before moving to your turn (dmg is regenerated then)

This deck is insane! I love hydras so much and have been researching them to build a deck around. I struck gold! Well done, earned a sub. Cheers lads
Challenger Troll is a great card for this deck, I found one digging through my bulk boxes and it's working wonders!

Just found the channel. Enjoyed the content. Building Gargos now… wanted to try it with Zopandrel.
Appreciate it! Zopandrel would be pretty bonkers with Gargos!
"not of this world" is a nice include for this deck too

An amazing inclusion into the deck. You can get some reaaalllllly big Hydras on board with that.

Could you make a video showing us this deck in play please? Because I am also making a Gargos deck and would like to see how it works in play.
Ram through could be some fun in this
Ran through is a great card for this deck!

Would the ozolith be good in this?

Doesen‘t gargos die because of all the damage from fighting?
it does. however good spells or auras have totem armor or indestructible. also you can fight in the enemies endstep before moving to your turn (dmg is regenerated then)
you can use gargos's ability to fight rampant rejuvenator
Whaaat! Never would have thought of that
It actually doesnt work, gargos can only fight enemy creatures
