Eddie's mother should have explained the entire situation to Chris instead of just telling Chris that her son served and that he needs help,,, that probably would've saved them both!
@@bonniepowers6216 yeah he was mentally ill and had a long history if I remember right. He didn't have PTSD from combat. His methods weren't aimed at people with his kind of problems.
Guilty was the only verdict that could honestly come out of this. Thank You and God Bless every jury person that helped end this nightmare for the Kyle and Littlefield families....❤
So smart of that officer to ask the question he did, the way he did. Done absolutely on purpose and a genius move. Props to that cop! That cop allowed justice to prevail.
Eddie Routh knew enough to at least double tap his targets with his weapon at close quarters behind them! Chris Kyle may not have cowrote his book 100% truthfully, but he did his job well and protected those he was tasked to provide over watch for upon a concealed perch. Along with the movie based on his book got the Hollywood treatment of embellished situations. Nevertheless a well trained sharpshooting marksman and his friend were murdered by a high, buzzing, trained marksman at close quarters. Acknowledged that Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura, won his court case, but he is still alive. Regardless I respect SEAL Chief Petty Officer Kyle and UDT 3rd Class Petty Officer Ventura for their service. Along with Chad Littlefield for being a good friend, but Eddie Routh gives veterans, such as myself a BAD LABEL! If Routh were still on active status, he would be court-martialed and possibly executed by firing squad.
He was an American hero Chris Kyle,I'm so sorry for the heartbreaking ending this family had to endure,on behalf of the country this man served I'm so sorry for your pain
Having 10 women on the jury is not balanced. I don’t know if the jury could have changed the life sentence to death but a balanced men/women could have had a better chance to change it
Jake Hoodock So the definition of hero in the US is a guy who murders people who legaly defend their country. Legit no wonder US is so fucked up with mass shootings and gang violence obviously you don't know what a good role model is. Yes it does matter if he was a liar. Your friend died in Afghanistan? :O Well I am sorry to hear that but so what? Do you mourne Nazis who died in a ww2? Probably not so why the double standards. Nazis invaded countries under false pretenses, demonized people to justify killing them etc...
So what? So what? Are you fucking kidding me. My friend followed orders by our president and got himself killed. He died by trying to remove a fucking bomb off a little kid and got blew the fuck up in the process. He was saving a child's life! It doesn't matter that he lied about 3 things because the has nothing to do with the 163 confirmed kills he had. He was eyes in the sky for marines on the ground who were walking into traps. Our military served our country under the understanding they need to follow orders. Don't be thinking it's their fault shit happens. Blame the president you liberal fuck
I absolutely agree with the Jury!! Eddie Routh knew right from wrong, given how he carried out the murders and taking a gun and Chris's truck and he ran from the police!! Not only that he robbed Taya Kyle's kids of a dad!! I would've found him guilty too,, and I do think he played the system as well.. I mean how does a Marine serve his country even though they never saw a day of combat though they come back home and say they have PTSD and etc..?! I dont buy any of it either!!! God bless Chad Littlefield and the Kyle family...!!!
@@missysbloglifethat’s absolutely correct! I believe that Chief Petty Officer Kyle was still alive when the movie was being organized, but he was unfortunately murdered before the actual filming started. He was not a movie star! He was a highly decorated US Navy Seal veteran.
just saw the movie... awesome great hero great man..my fiance is a veteran justice was served..great job jury...hope he gets what he deserves in prison
I don't normally think that death penalty is justified. I believe it should be applied to the ones who prove themselves to be the human equivalent to a rabid dog. Rabid dogs have to be put down for both the safety of themselves and others. He knew very well killing Chris Kyle was not right. He chose to be able to say that he killed the Devil of Ramadi, thinking that this would be something to establish his claim to history. I never thought that Texans was not vote for the death penalty for Chris Kyle's killer.
I believe he deserves to be put away from the public but can an insane persons word on whether they knew right from wrong be taken as an credible source
The murderer was a former US Marine veteran. Routh’s MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was 5811- a military policeman who served as a prison guard in the Marines; he never attended Marine Sniper School. (MOS 0317- formerly 8641) Referring to this man as a “sniper” is a kick in the sack to these fine individuals. Routh was just a murderer.

The only reason he got convicted is because he killed a famous movie star . Now on the other hand if kyle had killed Eddie he would had walked free.
