Sumiki is a perfect example of a good person. She always smiled and spouted noble ideals.

She even accepted my strange disposition. Yet Sumiki will get genuinely angry whenever I hurt someone.
That irritated me. Because I thought I am hypocritical in light of her "Leave Others Be" policy. But now I realize. I had the wrong idea.

I kinda agree with him. If it was up to his sister those bullies would continue to bully other kids while she looks the other way. I understand she doesn't want him to get into trouble. He was seen as a problem child at school for beating up bullies. So I can see why she wouldn't want Megumi to fight. However just look at what happened with Junpei. Everyone looked away while he got beaten up all of the time. His life would've been much better if he went to school with someone like Megumi. He probably would still have been alive.
So that's what it means when he said, he finds his sister "hypocritical" . I got confused by his words, but if his words mean exactly like you said then it all make sense
That's because people forgot about POWER and CONTROL in the modern world. We've forgotten how to decide our own fates inside our communities and have become passive consumers of a society and communities that are premade for us.
Communities are like pies. Store bought ones come with the cheapest ingredients that infect your body with their cheap shit to profit off of you. If you want a healthy pie, then you gotta buy ingredients from good sources. And if you want the best pie, you gotta make it yourself from scratch.
To make the best community, you gotta have power and charisma. You have to collect the best people by demonstrating your value as a leader. This is how it was for our ancestors. Everything's too easy now, and yet so much harder; because we lost our ancestral teachings that gave us the answers to the human animal... How to properly draw upon our INSTINCT.
By beating up these bullies, Fushigoro Megumi showed DOMINANCE, and by doing so he caved in the bully's instincts towards submission. Which in turn made the school's environment safer. He's the rarest breed, a good king.
Which, makes him a fascist and a tyrant to some. In the modern age, it's unacceptable to not be a pure empath anarchist opposing all forms of control, or to be a leader who isn't a cog in a greater system. The modern age is all about soft power, and it's infiltrated EVERY aspect of our lives. Tendrils of control and dominance created by a heartless system that robs us of our natural inclinations towards free expression and physicality.
"Touch Grass" is just a natural evolution of generation z being nothing but autistic kids who cannot even converse in person anymore. The animalistic presence of in person communication is too much for them in terms of pure information overload, and yet too little as their animal brains have not been clued into how to SEE all the unconscious cues. They are all "betas", and cannot pursue the more animalistic expressions of humanity, because they are dominated so hard by the grand machine of society.
We're all prisoners in the panopticon of social control. One that has grown so insidious that it has gone beyond controlling our thoughts, and has started controlling us by ripping away our very connection to the DNA Tree of Life(via conditioning and denial of community and maturation rituals). Ergo, most people have not learned the most important lesson of them all:
*HOW TO ADULT,* because they were raised by TV and the internet. A global FML.
Mmy personal theory is that now only the bullies, and the rare people with good parents, are taught about dominance and the social hierarchy. Sounds like the: "alpha and beta" wolf nonsense, as that social hierarchy only applied to wolves in captivity, but the thing is that... we're all being raised in captivity already. It's just "soft power" that allows us to think that we are free. "Free range" chickens without a fence. "Free" indeed.

His sister dynamic is one of the best in all of anime cuz sometimes you have this idea of your sibling and you even hold them on a pedestal but the truth is you understand their flaws but you accept them and you love them for everything including the flaws

I relate to his philosophy alot, i hate bad people who hurt others for gain and i find the good guys who forgive them to be dumb and dislike them but i do wish the latter should never suffer for their kindness. This is the reason i like heroes who take the shot when needed like wolverine,Ironman, strange,thor,ghost rider and punisher while i heavily dislike batman,spiderman,Superman,cap ideologies and that's why none of these are my favourite. Spidey does get more liking than other two for ne due to him being relatable teenager tho.
Forgiveness isn't fucking dumb. Just because Superman has the capacity to forgive doesn't make him weak. Frankly I dislike anti heroes who believe killing is the only option. If you. Think optimism and forgiveness is a weakness I am sorry but that shows how weak minded you truly are.
in every act u gain and lose something, even "good people" who lets say a billionaire gives 1 million to charity they have so much money that amount becomes meaningless others will think of that act when they hear there name and they get a good feeling from it. there is almost no good act, even someone who is struggling with money who gives alot to charity they gain something from it.

As long as you are helping someone or forget that,as long as you are making sure to not intentionally harm another innocent person , you are good. At least that's what I think. I am too selfish to ever help someone at my own expense but I try my best to not cause anyone harm from my actions.

I have always wondered why some victims forgive their oppressors. And I think it is because it's more healthy for them to let go of that hatred then let it consume them (and yes it can consume your whole life.) It's not always the answer but that's why I think forgiveness is good sometimes. It's not noble at all, but for some it's a healthier choice.
I would like to say one thing, modern generation really likes to choose evil.
