Thanks John. Been using your brake pedal method for some time and using the food saver vacuum too. May look into this method. Also have had J2 for a while but never have done the auto clean method. Did it first time today. It helps. We batch once a week for the week. Mostly carrots 40 pounds a week lemons. Wife radically remitted from terminal breast cancer. Juicing big part of the healing process. Take care positive vibes your way. Our waste goes into our garden.
@@HA-sd3eg I keep it simple. I’ll juice 3 or 4 organic 6 pound carrot bags from Costco. Then put them in mason jars. maybe 20 or so ounces in each wide mouth jar. Then juice a couple lemons and half of a whole watermelon. Then add that to each carrot juice jar. We try to drink that every day. Then a green juice smoothie in our vitamix everyday. We love lifenoyoke you tube channel’s green smoothie every day.

Thank you for all the great videos! I commented on vacuum sealing in another thread. Wanted to comment also when you mentioned ginger being hot. LOL! A week ago or so, I juiced 1-2lbs of ginger w a bit of turmeric based on another recipe. HOLY COW that was HOT! I even added some of that to another bulk-batch of green juice and still too hot. I ended up storing all the ginger in 1-oz ice cubes, over a quarts worth. Fast forward to this weekend, I bulk juiced a batch over 7 QTs. To that I added 5 of the ginger cubes and ALMOST too hot. While that metion will work to vaccum seal juices (I started doing that), there are several downsides to that vacuum storage method, so I no longer recommend that method. I share the best method in this video I found so far.
@@discountjuicers I no longer have the grip or strength to do a lot of manual pumping, so rely on electric units. I'm happy just to be able to make the juice and consume it and not worried about the oxygen content at the moment. having said that, I've tried several systems and the biggest issue is the ability of the lid (plain, white button, or others) to hold the vacuum for the 7 days. Every day I test my jars using the indent-test to see if they lost vacuum. If a lid fails 2 times, I toss it an get a fresh one. Systems: FoodSaver countertop with Lid Adapter (many many years ago). FoodSaver handheld w/lid adapter, OK. Burp-lids electric pump - you did mention the plastic style lids and agree they are not designed for this purpose, but some people are using - pump with adapter is OK. Zwilling Fresh & Save - I like this one for the rest of the system (bags and containers) it supports. The one I'm using the most right now is called "Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer", with pump built into the adapter. The last one has manual shutoff which allows me to run it for 20 seconds, even when I'm sure others would done in 5.

Very good video. Please help me as I want to start juicing and am confused which slow juicer I can buy. Do I buy Kuvings Revo830 very expensive or Nama J2 slow juicer? I want slow juicer. Which one is good as my husband and myself need to take care of our health. As my husband has sleep apnea, thyroid, high. BP, cholesterol and diabetes and I have diabetes and high BP.

However, watch my full comparison of the REVO830 and Nama J2 at th-cam.com/video/LMx-kaZ1dyI/w-d-xo.html so you can decide for yourself which might be a better fit for you and your husband.
