Really enjoyed this one, love swinging around in my hammock, great location and I love the old farm house... New Subscriber...ATB Chris.
Thanks Chris more good content to come. Any requests welcome.
Wow that was a long stretch between trees or the camera made it look like it. Have fun stay safe.
Hi it was quite a wide space to be honest.
Was up Harwood the other week. Cracking place know what you mean about the ankle breakers. Took a spill a few times. That was a hell of a hang you had but looked great. Think my DD Frontline XL would just fit 🤣
It's a cracking spot. You can't miss where it is directly opposite Fairlees Lough.
@@ashwoodoutdoors Think Jimmy and Rooney stayed there once. Think I'll have to give it a go
Cracking video Nick thanks for the mention mate appreciate it I've been up that way a few times a great location to camp it looks much better now that part you camped in was a mess with all the storm damage I will send you a link to a light system I use and Damien they are great atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
No problems for the mention mate. I'm wanting to do a sneaky wild camp on Holy Island. What are your thoughts.
@@ashwoodoutdoors that's something myself and Roney have talked about 🤣🤣
Hi, excellent video thank you for sharing it. I am planning to do my first ever WildCamp in the coming weeks and I find videos like yours very helpful. I live near Durham and the Cheviots are within reasonable driving distance so I am planning to start there.
I see you chose to use a hammock and I also noticed the majority of the ground throughout the video was uneven. Would you say a tent is not the best choice in forests like Harwood. Also I am concerned about where to park my car and the risk of it being damaged, have you found this to be a problem. ATB Barry
Hi Barry thanks for the nice comment. I. Regards to forest wild camping I would recommend doing a recce before hand so you know your area and what style of camping you can and can't do. When I started out I just watched loads of videos and chose those locations and styles. Just so you won't have a disappointed camp. Harwood has lots of places for tent camping, ground dwelling or hammocking. I hope this helps ATB Nick.
