    I like it because of how spacious it is for passengers. Sometimes the look of style of cars have to grow on you. It’s better if you see it in person.

    I’ve been dailying my 2020 m340i for about 5 months now and I can definitely tell you this is an extremely fun car for daily use but it will definitely make you pay for it at the pump with premium gas, I fill up maybe 3-4 times a week since I always drive in sport+ mode , with eco pro mode you can definitely get away with 2 fill ups depending how far your commute is

      That is very helpful! Thank you! And my commute 3x a week is dead set at 23 miles each way plus every where else I drive for car videos and regular gym grocery etc runs haha. I’d say I’d easily average 15k a year.
      And it appears to me you bought it brand new? I’m now leaning brand new over used cause I’ve had 2 cars looked over by my mechanic and both came back with somethings tbh at don’t sit well either internal or body work

    Hey great video! Have you considered the IS350? I believe it is the one that has it all!

    • @Cartalks100
      @Cartalks100  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, Thank you!! I actually considered IS 350 Fsport AWD in 2023 before buying the accord but the interior of the IS350 is very dated, which was a major turn off for me. I ruled that car out very quickly and back then the only engine and transmission choice was 3.5 NA V6 with 6 SPD AT so low gears more gas than M340i and I want an inline 6 not a V6 anymore lol. Now, they offer turbo 4cyl and the same V6 still.
      There were a few things that turned me off about the IS350 in particular. But the car's exterior, reliability and value retention is top notch, handling corners was not as sharp as the M340i or the C43 AMG.
      I hope that gave you a little more context as to why I won't go for the IS350 haha

      @Cartalks100  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey, honestly 1. I love the idea of only going to the gas station once every 2 weeks and sometimes even 3 weeks.
      2. Since it’s a hybrid the electric motor does give it that zip that you need when merging on the highway or quickly taking over someone as long as you’re in the sport mode which is what I mostly keep it in.
      3. I didn’t buy it because of it being hybrid tho lol. I just bought it cause I wanted to upgrade from my 2016 Accord Ex to another Accord and wanted the touring features.
      Needless to say the engine noise is close to none because it’s not always on it so that adds to a comfortable quieter cabin when you’re just driving around town.

      Finally someone that literally understands my dilemma!! Haha. Let’s talk about it bro! I’ve been dealing with this thought since day one and trust me I think Accord is a great daily and it’s actually very nice over all but yeah it’s not engineered for fun, none of em were. Even the 2.0T yes, the power is there but you need the engineering for the kind of fun I want and that’s literally only in Germans! There’s def a lot to think about. I’m glad I drive this cause it’s still nicer than my 9th gen Accord but my want is screaming for fun and not just a daily cruiser anymore. Lol.
      Everything you see that isn’t stock on touring is done by me(professionals did it) and I paid😂. Spoiler, black emblems, mirror and vent inserts and Honda parts, chrome deletion, and blacked out wheels is done by a detailing/ modification shop and both have lifetime warranty on it.

What about a Sonata N-line, or K5 GT? Genesis G70? or the Lexus ES350? The problem with all the choices is that they all have some major flaw, either High Cost, High maintenance, good performance but bad Fuel Economy, the list goes on man. Are you not afraid of the BMW having some major expense in a few years, and then it be year after year something expensive to fix? Just seems inevitable....such a bummer

      @@YuGiOhDuelChannelSo I’m not a fan of Hyundai/Gensis and Kia regardless of the power, looks and features they may have. Toyota/Lexus Honda/Acura over those 3 any day even if I pay more and get less. But that’s just my personal preference and I’m not trying to offend anyone that owns them or likes them or want to buy them, if someone likes it they should def go for it. Lexus IS350 I drove before the Accord but the interior was and is a carry over from 2015 and that was a major turn off, it even had a CD player lol. Acura Aspec gives me beautiful unquestionable exterior and 272 HP engine but no added features than my current touring and for me I’m more inside my car than outside lol so TLX didn’t make much sense. 272 2.0T is powerful but meh it’s still not as powerful and fun as Inline-6 B58 with 382 HP that’s in the BMW M340i that is actually engineered for that kind of fun and still be a daily driver. If I switch whether this year or next, it’s gonna be to an M340i. I just can’t decide if I want to go with a year old CPO or brand new. Because I will get all the extended warranties on it to make sure my purchase is justified in the long term. My insurance company actually offers bumper to bumper with electrical and mechanical coverage and I already went into super details with them and pretty much most is covered at least all the big ticket items

      @@Cartalks100 I hear you on so much of what you are saying. The Kia/Hyundai thing is very similar to how I feel, they just always keep pulling me back into considering them because of that 10 year warranty and the price is sooooo much cheaper than the 340i. It is so hard to quantify 20 grand, and if it is worth that much higher price tag for the 340i, but the heart wants what the heart wants lol, and it always seems like the 340i is the only car on the planet that ticks off all the driving experience boxes, but it cost so much more to purchase and maintain. The 11th gen Accord you have I feel is sooo close to a near perfect car, the price is right, the fuel economy, the interior, smooth drive, but just missing the fun aspect. Have you considered anything else that does all the accord does but has a fun aspect, or is this a pipe dream that just does not exist?

    • @Cartalks100
      @Cartalks100  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @YuGiOhDuelChannel rest assured M340i still doesn’t tick every box lol. I still won’t take it on track ever. A few of my buddies that own are suggesting me to just buy the F80 M3 of like 2018 and stuff but I can’t daily an M3. Bucket seats aren’t comfortable when I’m stuck in traffic for a straight 30 minutes. And I will never go for a used M340i that doesn’t have the adaptive M suspension because otherwise the ride on comfort mode is still pretty rigid. The only reason I can quantify the price difference is because of the Badge and engineering that goes behind German cars. Plus G70 3.3T I’ve heard are good cars but I still won’t go for anything that’s under Hyundai. Honestly, the only brands I personally would go for are Honda Toyota Lexus Acura, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche. Used to love Audi but out of the big 3 German mix, it’s the least reliable and I’ve seen it first hand on different fronts. If you’re leasing that’s a different story. I will also never buy anything that’s over 30-32% of my salary. So most of these cars up front otd price is fine but it’s the maintenance cost that I always double think about because BMW after all is known as plastic fantastic so it’s not the matter of it breaks but when it breaks. Every line is pretty much plastic and replacements with labor is not cheap on them. It’s a trade off, either you get what’s engineered for fun or engineered for longevity. Lexus does both but to an extent but I’m talking IS500 or LC500 etc not the mainstream IS ES etc lol
      I’m still debating on C43 AMG and M340i. They’re very parallel and I hear way too many mixed opinions on both but I’m still leaning towards M340i because of the B58. If Toyota can put its badge on it in Supra, it’s gotta have something special haha.

    Hey man, I’m not even gonna talk about the car if that’s alright lmao (although I do like some things about it, there are other things I’m not particularly a fan of). Personally, I would really like to start reviewing cars at some point, so if you don’t mind me asking some questions, I would really appreciate it if you could give me some answers! Firstly though, I think you do a really great job with your reviews (just based on this one), and I think the views say a lot as well. You do a good job at looking at the details of the cars and the features, and you remind a lot of other car reviewers on the platform (in a good way, of course). Now for my questions lol:
    I’ve seen that you seem to be able to review a lot of cars, so are they taken from a dealership, rented, or something else?
    Also wanted to know if using an iPhone camera and maybe AirPods microphone would be a good starting setup (although it seems you use an actual camera judging by the quality of your video).
    Finally, I wanted to ask how it feels being a car reviewer. I’ve heard some people say that it’s next to impossible to break into the current auto reviews scene since it’s so contested and very well established (with names like Doug Demuro, Raiti’s Rides and savagegeese). Do you find yourself struggling with this as well? I think the fact that you were able to amass 4.5k views within about a week of posting this video is pretty impressive.
    I’d really appreciate some answers cause I would love to start reviewing cars up here in Canada :)! Thank you in advance my friend, I really appreciate your time (sorry for any typos, I was trying to write this quickly lmao)

      Hey Prateek, first and foremost Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos and then putting such a thoughtful comment. This makes me very happy!
      And haha yes I started this as my passion project cause I’ve been into cars since forever and wanted to go and learn about em even more and then share it if I can and make this into a forum where we can all learn and teach something fun and new or correct each other on things related to the industry.
      I’m using my iPhone 15 pro, a designated microphone with a receiver and a gimbal stabilizer. I used to only use a monopod but TH-cam’s in app shorts camera doesn’t stabilize at all so my shorts would shake a lot. So I needed a stabilizer and I’m using DJI for that. Microphone was needed because there’s a lot of noise of wind and other cars. I do this all solo, so no help which is sometimes angles are different haha. If you look at the featured video on my channel which was my very first video it’s now at like 59k views haha. I’m thankful for it all.
      Now to your question of where do these cars come from? Haha. Yes I literally spend my Saturday 10am-6pm ish going from dealerships to dealerships and ask for them to let me film. My channel is new and my subscriber count is growing but not where it would vouch for itself so I have to do a lil convincing so I can get the content out haha. You’d be surprised how nice and not so nice some of these dealerships are lol. Sometimes it’s a car I like at random and I ask the person if I can film it lol.
      You see Doug, Raiti and Savage, Throttle house all that shine in my style because I LOVE those guys and they’re amazing! I’m from Chicago but I’m very frequently up in Ontario (London, Cambridge and Oakville). And my goal is once I hit 1k subscribers I’m gonna cover Honda Canada with the difference on trim levels that US gets as base vs Canada cause they’re different haha.
      I need support if folks like you in growing and making this happen. So thank you again.
      Sorry, if I missed anything in your comment from answering cause I can’t scroll back up so ask me again if you will😂😂

I don’t like the 21-22 touring wheels nor the chrome strip at the door bottoms lol. I even think if they kept the fog lights for the aesthetics would’ve made it a lil more lively. Sometimes, I do appreciate the simplicity in it tho. The more you see the more it grows just like every other car tbh
