Hey Kurt happy you knew this concert was coming to your neck of the woods. I went to the Totally Tubular Festival on 6/30. One of the best 80s concerts i been to in a very long time. All the bands were awesome especially Men Without Hats.

Every time I hear the Thompson Twins, I just close my eyes, and it takes me back to the 80s. What a gig. Hope your wife and son enjoyed it. If your son is anything like my 12 yr. old daughter, he would say it's so uncool. No idea kids today how good we had it.
Same thing happened in Bushkill, PA. Doors opened at 4pm and first band came on around 4:20 while most people were outside in line! We missed Plimsouls and most of Tommy Tutone.
I totally agree with you Kurt. My wife and I went to the concert and couldnt believe they didnt open the doors until 7. We had to get food, drinks and our shirt in 15 minutes, no way. We finally got into the actual theater about 8 p.m. when Bow Wow was one song in. Completely missed Tommy Tutone and Plimsouls, but oh well. It was a fantastic show nonetheless. We had a great time, thats all that counts. I also agree with you about Tom Bailey and Thomas Dolby is so creative.
I went to the NYC show on July 18th at Pier 17 and it was fantastic a great venue. My top 3 were Tom Bailey, Wang Chung and Men Without Hats. I have seen them all before many times.
I was there! Section 206 row B 😊 Unfortunately we missed the Plimsouls… our friends had trouble scanning their tickets 🤦🏻♀️ It was a fantastic evening ❤
Missed this when it came to my town. 🙁 From this collage, I agree that Tom Bailey/Thompson Twins would have been my favorite too. The Gap is the perfect song to kick off their set with the lights helping out the beginning intro of the song. I can only imagine what it was like their hey day. The crowd screaming when the "bong bong bong bong" echo starts up. Kind of like how Journey always opens up their concerts with Separate Ways and its killer synth intro. The other bands seem good too. I am a huge Thomas Dolby fan, and followed him throughout the years so I've seen him many times and didn't seem like I missed out on much. Though his cover of Blue Monday certainly would have been interesting to listen to live. It's always cool seeing him build the beats live like in previous concerts.
I’m checking this tour out in PA…I hope doors are open a bit earlier before the tunes start..I don’t want to become crucial hahah …I’m sorry I had to fast forward through some of your video..I wanted to keep the suspense with what songs are being played..I take it each band does 5 or so songs,and was that all the merch they had..I’m looking for a killer raglan shirt if they had them
The order you posted the videos is the order that they played, I assume? I am going to the N.C. show this weekend and have always wanted to see The Plimsouls! Good to know they are playing first.
@dave5655 I grew up loving the Plimsouls! I still burn through the CD Everywhere at Once! One of the greatest bands in my opinion. WAS! But I guess in this day and age of pretending to be something one is not I guess if your boys group identifies as the Plimsouls who's to argue huh? But deep down, we all know without ole Pete, the Band is nothing but a glorified tribute band.
Great musical lineup, but those prices on t-shirts definitely was not 80’s! Haha… Thompson Twins, so awesome, would have loved to have seen Joe Leeway on bass.

Nice, this came to my town last month. I was tempted to go, but assumed each band only played a couple songs.
I was there too and it was a great festival. Thompson Twins had more playing time of all the lineup. I even managed to score the set list 😊
