- Two longtime favorites return as expert chef and chef instructor Frank Proto trades Po' Boy recipes with home cook extraordinaire Lorenzo. We gave Lorenzo $340 worth of ingredients to reproduce Frank's recipe while sending only a modest $25 worth of stuff back the other way. How will Lorenzo's skills measure up to Frank's expert level recipe? Will Frank's "Po' Boy Bites" come together and steal the show?

Lorenzo and Frank are so good together that I want a spin-off buddy cop series where they solve crimes in the big city.
Yeah, it could have Lorenzo fail at playing bad cop, and Frank tending to a personal tree farm in order to manufacture his own sheets of paper for the criminal dossiers.

And near the end of every episode, as they sit down to eat an exquisite sandwich they've created, they connect all the dots the very second the first bite hits their mouth and save the day.
For some reason when they first got put together I always thought they hated each other but it looks different now

I always love these cheap vs steep switches, cause it shows that “normal” cooks can elevate their cooking game and we get to see what chefs do with basic ingredients.

These two are literally me and my wife's favorite duo to watch. And Saul quickly rose to the ranks as well as another of our favorites. We greatly enjoy the content.

Frank is legit... He does simple recipes on his own channel, but he can pull out the stops when he wants to.
I love getting poboys out in New Orleans but it amazes me how you can make a poboy out of $340 worth of ingredients lol.
They kinda cheated by adding saffron and counting the price of the entire container's worth of ingredient rather than just what was needed for the recipe. You're not putting $12.99 worth of oil on there.

@@dhawkins1234 it's worse than you suggested; that can of oil is half that price. It's absolutely bizarre how & why they manipulate the prices for both sides when they don't have to do it that way at all and get the same effect without also getting the negative side effects of discouraging cooks to be likely to try any of the more pricey ingredients. 🤷♂️

As a New Orleanian this hurts to watch…. Also never pay more that ten bucks for a po boy. They were named poor boys for a reason.

I was born and raised in south Louisiana where the po’boy is from baguette is not the bread. The bread is French bread. Preferably leidenheimer bread but down here most grocery stores carry there own which is nearly as good as leidenheimer bread. As for the Tony’s Chachere it’s easy to make Cajun seasoning and by making it you control the salt content

Remoulade is something you can find on some place's po boys, personally I grew up eating them and I often prefer it to just the traditional mayo. Rouille like aioli are gonna be pretty darn similar to remoulade though, it's all just the French naming slight variations of things outright instead of just saying, spicy-, yolk only-, etc.

Our maternal grandfather made his own pickled peppers. Once for sure the pickled peppers started to eat through the steel top of the jar the peppers were pickled in. It was quite a sight

I understand that you think this because of the most popular video on this channel is with Frank & Lorenzo but, Frank is in more popular videos without Lorenzo by himself or with other people. There's other Pro Chefs on this channel that have millions of views as well. So what you're saying is far from the truth and actually disrespectful to those who have contributed on this channel.
