for anyone else starting up one of these, for Yaskawa Sigmalogic you want to use the assembly info as so, not what the video shows:
Input: Assembly Instance - 102, Size - 64
Output: Assembly Instance - 112, Size - 64
Configuration: Assembly Instance - 1, Size - 1

I'm very new to Ethernet/IP communications. Is there a standard table for the assembly instances, or just for Yaskawa devices? I'm trying to add in another Allen-Bradley PLC that's not in the RSLogix catalog. I'm assuming I also need to use a Generic Ethernet Module, but am not sure how I'd figure out the assembly instance settings.

Does this work with the 5/05 SLC's or the MicroLogix 1400's via RSLinx?

Hi Tim, Thanks for your comment! It will not work with the 5/05 SLC's or the MicroLogix 1400's via RSLinx. Those two will use RSLogix500.

Yes, the card itself and the procedure are the same for both the A1000 and the V1000. The V1000 EtherNet/IP card comes in an expanded cover so it can fit the V1000 but the card is identical.
Even most of the assemblies for the V1000 and A1000 are the same. Good question Tony!
