Great sound! I don't think it would be worth having that in the system. VERY marginal changes and it actually sounds like it compromised some low end extension on the first track. Editing just to say that it does firm up some edges to the instruments but very slightly and I don't know how much it costs but I would live without it. Those speakers sound PHENOMENAL!
If you wouldn't mind sharing, what microphone did you use? and the preamp too. Great recording setup!
The speakers are not responsive enough (?) as the sound is "too comfy", as any frequency, which could be considered "annoying" or being "snappy" is filtered out. That takes not only aggressiveness, but a lot of texture away. Some sounds need to be sharp - a good system provides that without sounding sharp in general.

What does the black box sitting on the birdhouse do? I did notice that it seemed to make the sound a little less flat sounding. It added a bit of sparkle and dimensionality to the sound. I didn't notice it at first but it is there, no question. I certainly found the sound more lively with it in the mix. An improvement to my ears.
Is it a special box under the Black box ?
not special, just old speaker cabinet, maybe stone will be better
I knew it, especially after listening to the second audio track, the box under the black box has a mouse engineer inside?, the sound engineer is a mouse! And that's his house! "Sounds absolutely stunning by the way, i must say the mouse certainly knows his craft well, richer fuller bottom with more pronouced and open mids and top seems laser sharp, richer all round imo, but totally acceptable in the systems brilliance without the engineers.... well just dont tell mouse i said that, i don't want to find a hole in the living room skirting board one evening, to then to wake up to a mouse engineer holding a noosed length of mogami while going "tut tut tut" 😄

Black box je slyšet 😊.
It would be nice to upload the videos in 4K because then TH-cam supports sound in AAC 192kbps. In HD/1080p, AAC 128kbps. You can notice the difference with good recordings and great dynamic range as is usual in their demos.
I forgot, better sound with Synergistic Research, more natural.

yes, the sound compression erases the differences a bit, but in reality the difference is not big, even though I had the feeling of a slightly higher treble focus with the HFTs. I only listened to Black Box while recording, there wasn't much time to test it. But I have good acoustics, I assume that the worse you have, the greater the effect.
