Not shy, its because most of Malay lack of English. I really hope ministry of education do something for our future childrens are able to master 4 major languages for our country.
@@eddyshaharuddin I do think that mostly Malay students were shy indeed. They really afraid making grammar mistakes when having conversation. I had been visiting from urban to rural school and ask the same question to them. And most of their reply were same. But I can't denied that there's also a few pupils that even cannot understand English language.

こんにちは。始めてコメントします。3年前にマレーシアに旅行してから、マレーシアの魅力にはまり、もっと色々知りたいと思っています。旅行の時にブルーモスクの辺りで迷ってしまい、学校にツカツカ入って道を聞いたら、英語が不得意だから、得意な子を紹介してくれました。なんて、優しい国民の方なんだろ〜と感激してしまいました。2年前にも旅行して、もっと色々と見ました。これからも紹介、宜しくお願いします。

@kupis1408 Interesting. I was raised by the generation who suffered through the Japanese occupation of Malaya during WW2. My dad and grandparents. Even a few of my teachers. They did tell us about the hardship & cruelty but never once had any of them expressed hatred towards the Japanese, haboured that kind of feeling or tried to instill it in the younger generation. I think their generation is far more forgiving than we know. I also don't remember anyone disagreeing/protesting when our former PM Tun Mahathir actively implemented his “Look East Policy" and started sending Malaysian students to Japan back then.

I really understand the enthusiasm that the kids have when Japanese People visiting their school~It is a really a good environment for them to show what they have learn in classes, making new friends and exchanging culture.
As for me, I'm one of the host family for my Japanese friend and an Ambassador last year to represent Ipoh in Japan. When I went to Japan, I learnt many new things about Highschool in Japan and Its really interesting and fun~I even tell them about our secondary school activities and the most exciting part is about Prefectorial Board and Curriculum activities. They had fun learning new things too~I really had so much fun by making new Japanese Friends~
I hope more schools in Malaysia will have Exchange Student Programme so that, the students can experience making new foreign friends

usually other schools has about 1000 - 2000 students but my school have 5000, it's chaotic during recess
The thing that very unique about Malaysia is... Well.. school... That brings back memories. Although it's not same as Japanese Local School but atmosphere are very different. And for morning session is 7:30am till 1:10pm Monday to Thursday. 12 noon for Fridays. Best part? School Festivals.
Edit: Love and Hate relationship also exists too. Wish if I can best the ranks in midterms with flying colors.

Warghhhhhh! That was a great video... i just finished school in malaysia last year and yeah... it was hard but at the same time a great memories are treasured that. When i watch your video i felt a sense if cringyness haha but also a little bit sad cuz i really missed those stupid clap thingy hahahaha. In Malaysia, we have primary schools (sekolah kebangsaan) or 小学, secondary schools (中学), and high schools (大学) for Form 6 students
