First impro session (with some bum notes, kind of sloppy playing et al) with the Tetrax organ together with the rest of the family. Just mostly clean notes from the Tetrax and Sidrax, playing with a backdrop of Plumbutter, Cocoquantus and Deerhorn interpatched. Occasional bass drone from Jen SX2000 (out of shot).

Sounds wonderful, I really like the distant backbone rhythm everything is sitting on..

Thanks a lot! It’s the Gongues and the AV dogs modulated by Deerhorns. And a Cocoquantus loopscape consisting of Jen Sx2000 notes.

So fun to watch you play! Do you have a set melody before you decide to patch it all up or does it arise naturally as you go along and how is the new Tetrax? Cheers for another relaxing session

Thank you so much! I don’t have set melodies but I tune each instrument by ear and then the limitations kind of determine what will happen. I think the harmonies here are just Eminor7 and A7, basically.
The Tetrax seems lovely. Its core sound was a pleasant surprise and it comes across as more quirky than the Sidrax.

I could listen to it all day long... gorgeous... I'm new to CL family (own a Plumbutter). I would like in the forthcoming months add another CL instrument to go with Plumbutter. I hesitate between a Cocoquantus and a Tetrax Organ. In your opinion which of the 2 would be ideal although I suspect that it's a very personal decision. I'm more interested in peaceful atmospheres, if that helps ...

      Thank you! 🙏🏻
Yeah, these instruments are truly something special. I’ve just had the Tetrax for a few days and think its tone is wonderful. With just 4 barresto play it might be a bit limited though, depending on what you’re onto.
If you’re after soundscapes and a very self contained instrument, I’d say the Coco is the one. It works great with Plumbutter and you can use it with anything!
But no, it’s really not easy to decide 😊.

This is really nice. I'm looking into getting a Ciat Lombarde too, mostly for simple mellow drones /ambience. I have my eye on the sidrax mostly, the cocoquantus looks good too but I'm not really sure how it works. It can generate sound itself but I've also seen people use an OP-1 and digitone with it. Does it sample any external synth and turn what you feed it into these dreamy droning sounds?

Thank you! Yes, you can input anything through the Cocoquantus and use the delays/loopers to build soundscapes and modulate it with the quantussy’s oscillators! Check out Hainbachs coco tutorial - he explains the coco really well.
The Sidrax is a great, tactile instrument to play. My starting point was the coco, then the PlumB and then Sidrax.
