    Let's just say the melody of Tennessee Whiskey was heavy "inspired" by this song!

    • @randipearson4930
      @randipearson4930 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      TN whiskey was first done in 1981 by David Alan Cole so you’re probably right .. sounds similar .. David’s version was no where near what happened when Chris Stapleton did it .. Chris’s version blew up !! Not saying David’s wasn’t good just telling what the facts are about the song .. I lv David Alan Cole too .. anyways Etta James is amazing !!

    MIss Etta had a voice that simply makes you feel what she was singing about. My favorite is "All I Could Do Was Cry." If you have ever heard (and most of us have) Flo Rida's "Good Feeling" then you have heard Miss Etta's epic line "I Got a Good Feeling" from her song "Something's Got a Hold on Me."

    Etta James is one of the greatest classical jazz singers. You should check out Angelina Jordan, a little girl with an amazing voice. She covered a few songs by Etta James, this song"I rather go blind" at age 13,
    "At last" at age 8, and
    "Something"s Got A Hold On Me" at age 11. She does some other covers by Whitney Houston, Rihanna, John Legend, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Adele, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin plus many many many more. She's an amazing singer, considered one of the best in the world right now. She just turned 15 last month. Check her out.

Now when I was a young man and my auntie was playing this we kids knew we had to stay upstairs cause she was getting ready for company and her man was coming over. We use to listen to the music coming up the heating vents. The parties downstairs were smokey and the lights were low.
