@@barbarian92 technically they're a "summer wood-bat collegiate baseball team." They play at the stadium that was used for filming scenes in 42 and Trouble With The Curve.
FYI - the Evansville Thunderbolts logo, that you see on the ice, is the current logo. The one, that is in the top right corner of the video, is the old logo. Thank you for choosing the Ford Center as your favorite!
I live in Roanoke and the Berglund Center aka The Berg aka The Dawg House is solid arena. The Berg is crazy once we the fans start going wild. 😜 Let’s Go Dawgs! Also the Berg can attract a big crowd. There is a couple times the past 2 years that the Dawgs have reached over 6,000 and 7,000 plus capacity a couple times
@@shsav2012 lol, nah. During last years postseason the Railyard Dawgs just made an intro and at the end they say welcome to the Dawg House. Us fans have been calling it the dawg house only for a while. We mostly say the Berg.
@@jordankennerknecht4929 OK never really paid attention to the team or the SPHL in general when I lived in Roanoke. Plus with. Byrd high having the mascot of the terriers, I was forgetting what they may have referenced to some of the high school sports facilities on that campus

To my knowledge, the arena in Moline, IL was originally called the "MARK of the Quad Cities", so I get them keeping it in the current name of the arena. Mark must have been an important dude.😂
I've been to plenty of games at the Knoxville Civic Center and I can definitely confirm there are some seats you cannot see the ice still a great atmosphere though I'll be racing my Dachshund at the Dachshund race this year
Carver Arena (Peoria Civic Center) has hosted hockey ever since it opened. The Rivermen were originally called the Peoria Prancers. They changed to Rivermen after two seasons as the Prancers. The Rivermen have also played in four different leagues (IHL, ECHL, AHL, and now SPHL) and are probably the only minor league hockey team to win championships at all three levels.
Now you need to do summer collegiate baseball leagues such as the Coastal Plain League, where you can actually do a team called the Macon Bacon. Also once went to Crown Coliseum that saw a game with only one period played followed by a shootout to decide the game because the arena only has one Zamboni which didn't work to fix up the ice between periods.
On videos of the Georgia high school basketball tournament at the GPB Sports channel, I saw the Macon Coliseum has replaced its scoreboard with a videoboard at a more sensible level.
That’s on you man, it’s been a thing for over a decade, and pretty much all of the cities where there are currently teams have had pro hockey there for far longer. The most historic imo would be the Peoria Rivermen, who were previously the AHL affiliate of the Blues or the Birmingham Bulls who are a callback to the WHA and ECHL franchises of that name
@@CrescentCitySweatersThe SPHL has existed for two decades actually. Fayetteville, Huntsville, and Knoxville have been around since the league's formation, although Knoxville is the only one among the three to play every season, because of the global cooties.
A Southern Hockey League... REALLY! Nice arenas even for Hockey! 🥅 BTW, A few of these were used for Pro Wrestling for many years. I'm sure you can look them up!
Fun fact: There used to be a hockey team in Macon called the Macon Whoopee.
One of the joys of living in Macon is all the "Macon" puns.

@@ChrisLawrenceRebel Ah right, that's what I was thinking of. Still, that's one heck of a team name!
Let's not forget the successor team in Macon post-Whoopee, the Macon Trax.
Yes! Love seeing my Huntsville Havoc being featured!!!

I love how cavernous Macon’s arena is. Always have been a sucker for barns like that!
I've been inside the Macon Coliseum several times. Never for a hockey game though.
That “remains Tbilisi” joke was fantastic
Love the shout out for Geography Now.

The Macon Mayhem aren't called the Macon Bacon because there's already a baseball team called the Macon Bacon.
Macon is sure home of weird sport teams names

I'm wondering how much longer the Pensacola Bay Center will stand now that Mobile, 60 miles down the road, is replacing the Mobile Civic Center.
Can you make a video of the Western Hockey League (WHL) arenas next?
Do the FPHL next!!!!!
Need to do an IFL (Indoor Football Leauge) arenas video

please do BCHL !
Have you done college hockey yet? Some really cool venues on that side of the sport as well
Macon bacon is the name of the baseball team in Macon

Can you do arenas/stadiums of alaska?
I'll look into it.
Go Thunderbolts! #FillTheFord #ClogTheJohn
You should do the stadiums of Memphis
No, the people of Alabama are not conistent with their pronunciations of "ham".
I'm in north AL and I've always heard it pronounced PELL-UHM
Can you do OHL arenas?
Can you do stadiums of the nswrl
Technically, everything South of Interstate 70, is part of the South. So Evansville is part of the South.
You should do WHL next
SPHL has been an orphaned initialism since 2023.
Bring back the UAH Chargers!
Railyard Dogs have the best mascot in the league! These arenas are a bit underwhelming but the joke about taxslayer69 was not!!!
Please do FPHL!!!

Yea, club hockey isn't D1 college hockey
Those end caps for the ice bears are not the greatest. You can't see your side of the ice goal when you sit there
