Easy way to cut through Silicone in Fish Tank

Follow up video to my earlier effort. This one is a bit clearer. I am planning on building a sump and this is the donor fish tank.

I am going to try this with guitar string or piano wire. I had a catastrophic leak (split seam) on my 40 year old 150 gallon aquarium and have to re-build it.

How did you go? I bought a cheese cutting wire which was really thin, but too thick to get in between the seals.
