Two things l really appreciate about you Andy. You're undying enthusiasm for all things sound related and the fact that you find equal enthusiasm for the super high end stuff and the much more budget offerings which is where l dwell! You give both equal honour and that's so great to see! 😊
Thanks. I truly believe both end of the spectrum are equally important. While I absolutely adore my ultra expensive Shure KSE1500, I also find myself absolutely enjoying my $5 VE ODO and $9 Tanchjim ZERO, using them frequently on daily basis. And I understand that price does not equates end state satisfaction, it is all about finding your own sweet spot within your own comfort zone. Cheers!

Hiby R1 looks too good to be true 😮. Does it have usb c audio output?
With the limited time I had, it does have USB C but I think it should work on the USB C as digital Audio out too. Let's just wait for the full specs released soon

Q: Just one thing I did not fully understand...you talked about an (maybe upcoming?) "AR7000" by Aune. - Hence while talking about that we see that closed back SR7000 resting on your head in the video. - So will it be the closed back SR7000 coming in for review - or a brand new (so far secret) open back "AR7000"?
It's a stupid mistake on my end, there's only SR7000, not AR7000

Thanks. I didn't have the opportunity to try connecting it to a dongle so this is something we need to wait and see later

No worries. Most planars tend to be on the heavier side of things due to them having much more metal components than dynamic drivers, but the Shangling HW600 is fairly okay with weight

Hi Andy, a little question for you about New tanchjim product : for you, did i pick UP tanchjim 4u or Bunny ? And it's to combiné with tanchjim luna 😊 what IS your opinion about that ?
Both 4U and Bunny are already excellent based on my taste and preferences. 4U when set to monitoring mode actually offer flatter and more transparent sound where Bunny offers the exact sort of sound from the original ZERO with improvements overall. And BOTH will pair great with LUNA. I would even say they were like meant for each other

Awesome vlog. Kinda wish it was a bit longer^^. Did Shanling mention a price for their new planar magnetic headphone? They had a demo unit in Munich I got to listen to but no finalized price.

Thanks, Shanling did mentioned the price but I forgot exactly how much. It is expected to be on the range of USD 1K give and take. I should have noted down the price, lol PS: release date is between October-November 2024
