if landing gear stuck in, is there info to alert the pilot or 2nd officer? if so... no chances to survive w/out landing gear... should be landing in water as possible.
saw one commentary here, there is an emergency mechanism if the landing gear failed. It's like a claw that would hold or slow down the plane..but why it was not use or was not working is still a mystery.
airport authorities would usually spray a coating of fire suppressing foam to the runway back in the 80s and even in the 90s; it's like a fire extinguisher but on a larger scale. so surprised that the South Koreans did not employ it in this instance, it could have minimized the friction caused by the metal-to-pavement contact.

Until the black box is recovered everything else is just mere speculation. I'm sure, the families of those victims are also looking for answers. I have seen the whole video. The plane seems to be going in too fast and it exploded upon impact on those runway barriers. R.I.P to the deceased.

Why would Korean authorities allow it to be opened without any of their authorities present? I'm assuming some foreigners died too and they would probably do an independent investigation.
Whole thing looks and sounds fishy to me. Why did it seem to land so far down the runway and not at the start? Why was the ground crew not ready? Why did it not keep in the air till something could be figured out? Why did it not appear to have the breaks or reverse thrust applied? Only the front wheel seemed to not be down. yet the nose never touched the ground? I seen planes land safer with no wheels at all. Something is very off about this "accident" How would a bird hurt landing gear? The gear went up. A bird could only hit it if it was down. Up it is inside the place. Ya this isn't right. We're not being told the truth.
