The birth of Hatice's son was so confusing! It started in her scene feeling the pains of childbirth, switched to Princess Isabella falling and then to Hatice's son born with people trying to revive him…so confused. And it's worth noting that the subtitle is getting worse with each episode. I'm learning English and this is horrible
The constant confusion of personal pronouns is very funny: talking about a woman 'he, him', talking about a man 'she, her' etc. Gel: come in becomes 'inputs'. Extreme patience is needed!
Many of the words are misspelled making it very difficult, not to mention the use of Pronouns as in Turkish. Gender Pronouns are used interchangeably as in her - him, he - she. If you know the gender of the character use the appropriate one. The Turkish language drives me crazy trying to figure it out sometimes.
@@lindathibedeau6796 Yes, because there are practically very few female pronouns. It’s ridiculous in 21st century Turkey to pick up your mobile and say Effendim’ when the other person is a woman. Apparently Mustafa Kemal didn’t bother creating a Ms. or Mrs. in his sweeping reforms!
I'm not sure why Ibrahim thought that Hatice, a devout Muslim princess, would be pleased to see statues of mostly naked infidel (as far as she's concerned) gods on her lawn....
@@muratrajul789 she became a Haseki after Mustafa’s birth, it’s a title given to a Hatun who give birth to Sultan’s child, mostly a prince. But never a Sultana, because she never had a nikah (religious and official marriage), because Sultan doesn’t have to do nikah with his slaves, they are already considered as his “properties”. But Hürrem was set free by him and as Sultans aren’t allowed to touch free woman, they are married. So Hurrem became first Sultana by marriage. Normally only Sultan’s daughters and mother can use this title, not concubines.
@@aurelie8761 oh noh DEAR! You are totally very WRONG! The title Haseki was created for HURREM after the the death of valide to rule the harem! It was never created for the first son giving mother, rather it was created for Hurrem and later was designated to the next harem ruler.
@@kuhelikakuhin1011 as i know : Haseki is a known and used title by favorites of padishah. Sultan(a) is a title that’s used by women who are from a padishah’s blood. But Haseki Sultan is a whole new title specially created for Hürrem.
What history? This is a rom com, sitcom with needless additional stress for everyone! As for the Sultan's grey-blue eyes, read contemporary descriptions of him, mostly by Venetians, and enlarge his portrait by Titian, painted around 1530, since there never was any Leo to disturb Hurrem's peace of mind!
Shumbul was so cute when he saw the statues....Bali Bey in the bedroom...(lucky woman)...and Hurrem saving the baby....very good...(even if later on Hatice and Ibrahim forgot what she had done)
This show isn’t entirely historically accurate the battle scenes are and some of the things about his and hürrems relationship is true but other than that it’s all fiction we can’t say for sure he took statues but suleyman I did have an appreciation for art and music
She never existed, and if she is Castillian, she is a close relative to Suleiman's strongest enemy, the real ruler of the world, Charles V. Just think: All the Americas, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria and the Holy Roman Empire grounded by Charlemagne, when Suleiman's ancestors were a wandering tribe in Asia! From the Conqueror onwards, especially Selim I and Suleiman should have known from Alexander's mistakes, that conquest is easier than holding on to what you have conquered!
I was reading up on the real Isabella of Castille. Not only was the Queen of Aragon and Leon, and the Queen of Spain, but she actually died when Sulieman was a just a child! She was the grandmother of Charles V of Spain, the Holy Roman Emperor. The fact is, she looked nothing like this actress, as she was a blue-eye strawberry-blonde! Go figure! That they used a real person's name and title just to add another random woman to throw into Suleiman's bed? SMH.
@@nakatejovia9528 So what, dearie? It doesn't give anyone a free pass to use the real names of people for characters that have no bearing on the real people or their real and historic lives. FWIW if that is done now about real people, they and their families or estates would have lots of lawsuits pending, since it comes very close to what is called "libel."
As much as we laugh at Sumbul and Gul's many antiques, let us not forget the two were almost like the backbone of the harem. Without the likes of them, the concubines and sultanas would lead a more miserable life because they're their friends in schemes and conspiracies, suppliers of goodies (literally), messengers, jokers, as well as "punchbags" of sultanas - one on whom women from the lowest to the highest pecking order could throw their jibe and tears alike. Sumbul and Gul were the life of the harem and the palace, if not the empire.
Whenever they had Suleiman falling for and bedding some random woman, in the end he was played the fool and came out looking weak and pathetic. The writing didn't make Hurrem look bad in these SLs, but certainly made Suleiman seem like a lying, cheating jerk. E.g. Hurrem is shown saving a baby's life, while Sulieman is romping slo-mo through the forrest with the captive princess. Sheesh.
Fascinated/ intrigued of the a princess, showing her he and Ottoman empire not barbarians- giving her gifts , kissing her against will, teasing her, making her jelous of Hurrem- wants to bed a princess
had leo truly loved hurrem as soon as he knew the life she now had he would not have put his love he had for her and took so many risks that was bound to come to become known and he put her life in danger
I disagree that’s his first and only love he wanted the best for her he just didn’t have the enough courage to walk away from his only love if he didn’t love her he would never eat that poison ☠️
Suleiman thinking about that trollip Isabella . In this drama they sure protrayed him a serial cheater . I wish they would have focused more on his Hurrem love story it was unprecedented for a Sultan to marry let alone stay faithful to one woman which in real life history is what happened . 99% of this show is fiction made up for dramatic purposes
I know! I agree! If they needed drama put in more stuff with Gulfem and Mahedevran.. their back story .. more with the children as children.. to further highlight how Mustafa was treated differently snd how incredible it was for Hurrem to achieve what she did.
Actually most of the time Suleiman was on the military campaign against somebody opposed to taking it easy in the palace show has the basic facts right and yes he did probably drink wine on occasions as for what went on in the hareem I don't think we'll ever really know there just aren't that many records to give us a clue as to how it was

Their love story and lives are truly amazing. They had been also very close friends. Also Hurrem acted as Suleiman's advisor on matters of state, and seems to have had an influence upon foreign policy and on international politics. She made unprecedented contributions as both a stateswoman, and an art patron. Their unique lives are great source of inspiration for the artists many years after. Even Austrian world famous composer, Franz Joseph Haydn, the father of the classical symphony, between 1779 and 1781, write The Symphony No. 63 in C major, Hoboken dedicated to Hurrem, the influential wife of Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire. It's also known by the title of the second movement, "La Roxelane", named for Roxelana (Hurrem).

I think you speak English very well 😊
But agree with you: the subtitles are atrocious
One thing in this episode makes me laugh 🤣 id when SUMBOL AGHA enter the door of Hatice Palace and then he saw the statue 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Priceless
Hurrem is such a hugger. She likes physical touch ❤
The most unacceptable scene in this episode was that they left water running from the fountain! ..... 😂😆
Why?
@@kdhj88 Just teasing 😂
@@kdhj88 Water economy!
😉😁😂🤣🤣🤣 I never expected this comment. Lol. 👍🏻
Princess would go to WC every hour by the water sound effect.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isabella: If they cared abt my comfort, they wouldn't make me eat on the floor like a barbarian. They would bring me a table. 😐
Sulymen starting to woo Isabella starting g with a table, teasing her etc....
I'm not sure why Ibrahim thought that Hatice, a devout Muslim princess, would be pleased to see statues of mostly naked infidel (as far as she's concerned) gods on her lawn....
Hürrem is hitting the baby's boot instead of his back 🤣. +Gülfem how could be there within 5 minutes?
I feel scared for hurrem everytime she hold the diarybook . It scared that someone will see it😂😂😂
Yes
me too
Sumbul and Gul always bicker like an old married couple 😂😂
In reality mahidevran had never been a haseki sultan, she remained as suleiman’s concubine
Explain please
Sumbula is my favourite. I love his character so funny and also very respectful at same time.
Ibrahim failed in his plan about isabella after spending so much state money on her just to hurt hurrum
When ibrahim said; historyy bothers everyonee.. Exactlyyy historyy subject bothers us too 😂😂😂
What history? This is a rom com, sitcom with needless additional stress for everyone! As for the Sultan's grey-blue eyes, read contemporary descriptions of him, mostly by Venetians, and enlarge his portrait by Titian, painted around 1530, since there never was any Leo to disturb Hurrem's peace of mind!
This sultan is so badass, he act like every women is playingdoll no matter she is a slave or princess
It’s his script to be a “horn dog”
Shumbul was so cute when he saw the statues....Bali Bey in the bedroom...(lucky woman)...and Hurrem saving the baby....very good...(even if later on Hatice and Ibrahim forgot what she had done)
Acting is so special.. All of them!!! Love from India 😍😍😍
is this a true story??? im impressed with ibrahim...he speaks a lot of different languages. bravo!
Yet did Ibraham translate accurately esp when it benifits him??
This show isn’t entirely historically accurate the battle scenes are and some of the things about his and hürrems relationship is true but other than that it’s all fiction we can’t say for sure he took statues but suleyman I did have an appreciation for art and music
Sumbul glides into the room like he’s on roller skates. 😂
I can’t decide which I like most in this series, Suleiman or Bali bey
Suleiman's eyes are freaking gorgeous. There's something about bali bey's appearance that I cannot explain. Damn they're both handsome. 😍😍😍
Pargali...💕🔥🔥
@@christinepeneira3066 AGREE!!!! 100%

Watch Hatice and Ibrahim forget that Hurrem saved their baby🙄

Sultan's cute expressions while Isabella was speaking and he wasn’t understanding a single word🤣 Btw he looks smitten by the Princess🤨

It cracked me up when Sumbul Agha was shocked with the statues. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love how sassy Isabella is to sultan and how well he takes it!!
I think he thinks she's cute in an annoying fluttery way.
I was more concerned about running water from tap left open when Princess Isabella tried escaping from forest 😅
Sumbul agha reaction seeing those sculpture😂😂😂
Suleiman and hurrems love is something different
I was reading up on the real Isabella of Castille. Not only was the Queen of Aragon and Leon, and the Queen of Spain, but she actually died when Sulieman was a just a child! She was the grandmother of Charles V of Spain, the Holy Roman Emperor. The fact is, she looked nothing like this actress, as she was a blue-eye strawberry-blonde! Go figure! That they used a real person's name and title just to add another random woman to throw into Suleiman's bed? SMH.
I guess right from the start of every episode
They remind us of every actor being fictional character n not the real one
So don't be a critic dear
@@nakatejovia9528 So what, dearie? It doesn't give anyone a free pass to use the real names of people for characters that have no bearing on the real people or their real and historic lives. FWIW if that is done now about real people, they and their families or estates would have lots of lawsuits pending, since it comes very close to what is called "libel."
@@mtlindy6463 indeed👍
And Hatice was not married to Ibrahim IRL. get overvit
@@joannamac9 true
As much as we laugh at Sumbul and Gul's many antiques, let us not forget the two were almost like the backbone of the harem. Without the likes of them, the concubines and sultanas would lead a more miserable life because they're their friends in schemes and conspiracies, suppliers of goodies (literally), messengers, jokers, as well as "punchbags" of sultanas - one on whom women from the lowest to the highest pecking order could throw their jibe and tears alike. Sumbul and Gul were the life of the harem and the palace, if not the empire.
Why I think Bali Bey is very handsome?😂❤
Watch (Kara sevda) dayummm🔥
You'll find him there
He has very intoxicating eyes, heavenly blessings to him. He is a protector of women .
He is the knight in shining armour of fairy tales.

Also why does she speak a mixture of Italian and Spanish????
@@pokedrexus3229 Isabella cartoona...😜😜
i think its because of the langauge she has to speak...it needs certain accent and way with it
Whenever they had Suleiman falling for and bedding some random woman, in the end he was played the fool and came out looking weak and pathetic. The writing didn't make Hurrem look bad in these SLs, but certainly made Suleiman seem like a lying, cheating jerk. E.g. Hurrem is shown saving a baby's life, while Sulieman is romping slo-mo through the forrest with the captive princess. Sheesh.
True 😂
A " princess" to harrem/ slave and finally to halvat / conquered
Fascinated/ intrigued of the a princess, showing her he and Ottoman empire not barbarians- giving her gifts , kissing her against will, teasing her, making her jelous of Hurrem- wants to bed a princess
I like sumbulas reactions when he saw the status 🤣😂😆🤪😅
had leo truly loved hurrem as soon as he knew the life she now had he would not have put his love he had for her and took so many risks that was bound to come to become known and he put her life in danger
Exactly!
I disagree that’s his first and only love he wanted the best for her he just didn’t have the enough courage to walk away from his only love if he didn’t love her he would never eat that poison ☠️
More then been in love Leo seemed to be obsessed.. He cared less about risking Hurrem and her kids.
Bali is the most handsome in this series😍

Suleiman thinking about that trollip Isabella . In this drama they sure protrayed him a serial cheater . I wish they would have focused more on his Hurrem love story it was unprecedented for a Sultan to marry let alone stay faithful to one woman which in real life history is what happened . 99% of this show is fiction made up for dramatic purposes
I know! I agree! If they needed drama put in more stuff with Gulfem and Mahedevran.. their back story .. more with the children as children.. to further highlight how Mustafa was treated differently snd how incredible it was for Hurrem to achieve what she did.
Actually most of the time Suleiman was on the military campaign against somebody opposed to taking it easy in the palace show has the basic facts right and yes he did probably drink wine on occasions as for what went on in the hareem I don't think we'll ever really know there just aren't that many records to give us a clue as to how it was
@@travisfriedland9346 alcohol is a sin
@@desertmoonlee6631 yes it is a setting in all religions that doesn't mean it didn't happen I'll take a chance and say I think he did drink wine on occasion
Even Austrian world famous composer, Franz Joseph Haydn, the father of the classical symphony, between 1779 and 1781, write
The Symphony No. 63 in C major, Hoboken dedicated to Hurrem, the influential wife of Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman
Empire. It's also known by the title of the second movement, "La Roxelane", named for Roxelana (Hurrem).

Nope Isabella is literally the prettiest character….. Hurrem fans always shame the appearance of Isabella just because they hate her but in reality Isabella is way more beautiful then Hurrem
Ibrahim end will never be good,,,,it did be better if he couldn't engaged in the war of sultan suleiman's wives....he couldstand and deal with his duties and responsibilities in his position,,he couldn't choose between hurrem and mahideviran......he didn't realize the power of love.....to sultan suleiman hurrem is more convincing and powerful than him.....he can't offer to suleiman what hurrem can offer....
