That was the BEST choice made among many good choices. The fact that those young ladies sounded genuinely convincing as the Clark Sisters totally made this film.
Louise Augustine facts! I think that’s my favorite part cus like Kierra said it showed how Karen evolved and started speaking up for herself. It definitely would’ve been a sight to see Karen like that. Go from “c’mon shy” to laying her own sister out LoL

Kenny Ray please stay encouraged. When my Mom got sick and put in ICU a pastor told me once, "only God can call your mother home by NAME or every dead in Christ will raise up. Her journey was over and she had completed everything God needed for her to do on Earth". I drew comfort from that...what was out of my control was in God's control 💚

Literally! My thought as someone who is an alto for real! She is NOT AN ALTO! LOL! Most of us can’t sing as high and as strongly as she does with some of the higher notes that she can hit. She may be a mezzo-soprano, not a true soprano like her mother but she still has an amazing range!
Alto’s not even a voice type lol. It’s a choral part. Kierra is a soprano. A high one at that. Even listening to the colour of her voice proves this. Very bright and light voice. She sounds like a teenage girl. If that’s anything lower than a high soprano, then I don’t know what people like Melonie Daniels would be lol.
Love the movie however none of the interviewers ask” So how did y’all feel when the COGIC Bishops chose not to support Mother Clark as a supportive mother of her Award Winning Daughter’s success”? I was raised in COGIC as a baby and I was able to experience a bit of the politics

I am not sure what really happened in this family to seperate them prayer is with them for the Holy Spirit to bring them together regardless. Just seems un-Godly to seperate one member into isolation; if this is going on. What's going on here. This disturbs me.

So many people are being self righteous and flat out ignorant because they think they know what's going on the INSIDE of that family . I really think social media has caused people to feel entitled and overly invested to/in other people's business
