    I wish I knew more about the Bengali culture to understand the story better. Thank you for reading it. I have ADHD and it helped a lot. What an interesting read!!!

    I was assigned to read this for a college English class and I just wanted to thank you for reading it so my tired eyes didn't have to do it alone. The end gave me chills, but it was a sad and a beautiful story. --thanks again :)

      Really happy this video helped!! Yeah Jhumpa Lahiri writes some intense stories, especially towards the end. I appreciate the positive comment; best of luck in college! :)

    maybe my favorite JL story. it's a prose-poem of "telling details". . .

    I hate how cleaning up your mess with a sponge and hearing kids that live above or below you are considered harsh conditions... or as the writer put it "A terrible situation!"

    Do you think Pranab Kaku is a protagonist or antagonist or neither?

    • @MmmYsl-qi8iq
      @MmmYsl-qi8iq ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some readers may see Kaku as a protagonist because he is a complex and dynamic character who plays a significant role in the story's plot. On the other hand, some readers may view Kaku as an antagonist because of his actions and behavior towards other characters, particularly his daughter-in-law. Ultimately, it depends on the reader's interpretation and perspective.
