bhami My observation, based on singing alongside current and former Windsbacher singers, is that they base their one-on-one vocal coaching on a free and unconstrained vocal apparatus which the choir sound is then based on, where other boy choirs, such as the British, seem to base their vocal coaching on a somewhat stereotypical ideal of what a boys‘ choir should sound like, i.e. straight and weak (to my ears at least. Others think it sounds clear). The Windsbacher singers I‘ve sung with where all capable of singing operatically when needed, and a lot of them have gone on to have operatic careers, where I find that I don‘t often meet good operatic singers from other countries with a boy choir background. They usually rather sing in high-level choirs or as singers of medieval and barock music

Gracias por avisarme. Es una maravilla!
Danke für den Post! :)
They sound like adult musicians, not children! What's their secret? 😮
