This sound mod is absolutely brilliant. I’m not sure if this is to do with the mod but the doors only open a second or two after I click the button to open them. Other than that it’s spot on 👍
We just corrected the timing for the door alarm so it's actually the correct number of beeps since it's a repeatable mechatronic system. But we can't edit the animation timings because those aren't our skill area so it's just the sound is delayed.
This sounds way better than the sounds that Rivet used, but some of Rivet's sounds are actually true to life. The "whir" sound Rivet used when the doors close is actually per reality and the "TPWS and AWS operational" should only sound after the self test sequence. I've also had issues with traction motors going silent too soon when coming to a stop. Other than those small issues though, this is a great wee mod. The 385 is now a lot more fun to drive. E-G may now de-throne the Cathcart Circle as my favourtie route in TSW.
Rivet could really learn a thing or two from the community, their complete ignorance towards the lack of detail in the sound engineering & soundsets is shocking.
Do you need to update this mod following mods working again on TSW4? I can tell the mod works again but is missing AWS self test and as you mentioned deceleration inverter doesnt sound correctly
We know that some elements are not working for everyone, and naturally sound improvements can always be put into a mod as with the others I had produced alone...
I would also add it’s missing flange sounds it seems. No more weird cab washing machine rolling sounds and the proper traction sounds definitely makes me consider picking up this route and TSW3 though.
@@ItsYa165 I tried but get an error once I start the game… assets not compatible with the version… Get also an error after DL from GitHub :/ DTG being DTG

@@ItsYa165but they are a lot of faults with the new version and the motors at high speed really are way too loud after riding on one I can say that the older version at high speed is much better. Also with the DSD pedal in the new version is sounds like a rush of wind which I found quite annoying because in the old version that wasn’t present. Also, when at high speed the high track hum type sound cannot be heard very well. I appreciate the work put into it but in my opinion the older one was a lot more fun to drive sounds wise but I guess that’s just my opinion. Also just as a quick note. I wouldn't have it any other way than a match to its recording. We also found a Japanese reference for its motor control system so we discovered a lot of the speeds we needed for implementing it!

Turns out Rivet's "update and fixes" were complete ass... so... we'll continue working on this mods.

Sounds awesome mate! Maybe the folks over at Rivet should start taking notes...

The 'whir' sound exists here too. Adding to the traction motor sounds: we can't really adjust that, seeing as that's based on the physics :)
"TPWS and AWS operational" also does only sound after the self test. It's just that the AWS doesn't have a self test sound.
Absolute mesterpiece! Awesom sounds, as always! Thanks for all of you works!

Amazing job I wish dtg could do this good

UE4.26
