    Great job, useful for low cost construction. 👏. People ultimate need for shelter can be achieved without spending much, never seen anything like it in eastern india.

    I’m building a house in Panama. Originally from Germany, where I used beam & block system to build my house. This system doesn’t exist in Panama. So I was already planning on using my own molds across each room and pure my concrete mix into it. The molds will be 122cm in with. I will move the molds every 2 days until the house is fully covered. I wasn’t sure about thickness of the slabs. But doing it 2 inches with the 1st concrete + the foil (I need anyway so the concrete can cure properly by covering the slabs) + 2 to 3 inches at the second time is what I had in mind. Now seeing kinda done from your company, gave me some input. This also reduces the wood needed because I would only use it one time. - What I didn’t had in mind was the plastic foil used between the 1st & 2nd final mix. Good thing I watched your video. Very good information. Thanks from Panama.

    Not having to have to tie every part of the construction from foundation to the roof with steel rods and wire mesh makes building so much simpler. Here in Puerto Rico where we have constant earthquake activity we have to, otherwise the houses become earthquake traps. Great video to see the very nice workmanship. Thank you for making and posting it.

      Yes, these structures cannot resist intense earthquakes. But they are only used for storage purposes or as ware houses, or in villages.

    a flat concrete roof that has no drain canal, not sloped, will pond rain water. that's a great idea -- NOT!
    concrete is porous! water seepage will eventually occur.
    👎👎👎👎👎

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your concerns. The key benefit of this slab is that they can be modified as per your requirement. Means after placing these precast plates on their locations, you do not leave them there but you have to provide additional layer(s) of whatever material you want that will not allow water seepage i.e., chips. Moreover, as far as drain canal is concerned, the slope can be provided in the top layer i.e., chips etc.
      This method has been used in Pakistan for more then a decade and we have not faced any issue with them.
      Only one thing is required here, "a very skillful workmanship".

    sir what is the name of the plastic sheet you use to stop water seepage ? here its not available , only chickn mesh is available here , please mention the name or please provide any link to view the material you used , thankyou

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for asking. The sheet is called "polythene sheet", you can search this item with same name on google. It is easily available all around the world.
      The plastic sheet alone will not be able to stop water, it should be used with concrete layer, chips layer and cement/sand mixer layer.

      You are welcome. This is precast construction. The major components are precast girders and precast concrete plates. This is very time efficient and can be used in any type of constructions where loads on slab above are low.

    How must it would cost for 20mm thickness slab per sqft

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For calculating cost of slab, there are many factors involved such as labor costs and material costs. These vary from location to location.

      Ok whats the measurement of beams used??

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The precast slab used in this video comprises precast concrete girders and plates. The girders are constructed as the dimensions of the rooms. Then,as per room dimensions and precast girders, precast slab plates are manufactured. In this video the girders are 11 ft in length whereas the slab plates used are of different lengths as per requirements.

    This is a recipe for disaster in an earthquake prone area.

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you may be right but these types of structures are suitable for warehouses and stores.
      With skilled workforce and careful construction these structures can bear normal range earthquakes.
      As far as severe earthquakes are concerned, even framed structures fail.

      I don’t think that you actually get what it is what they showing. Systems like that are used for thousands of years around the world. These systems now made of concrete are not the final product. Rebar and another 3-4 inches of poured concrete on top of the whole floor are used to get a full 6 inch roofing/ ceiling. In Germany 8-10 inches!

    Can we use this roof like normal terrace?

    • @startsustainableacademy
      @startsustainableacademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but it has certain limitations.
      It can not take high dead and live loads.
      Moreover, it is advised not to use these precast rcc plates as "cantilevered portion".
      These types of roof are preferred where live or dead loads loads on slab are minimum and most frequently used in warehouses, factories or house sheds etc.
