The fact that you show how to actually wire your pump puts you guys waaaaay above the rest! Insane how this isnt shown with other guys pumps (aspen pumps) 😮😅
The reservoir is very delicate, I’m using soft silicon tubing, not to put too much pressure on the stub-outs. On the pump, the outlet stub-out is too close to the body of the pump. Not enough room for hose clamps, I’m using zip ties. Get rid of the factory drain house, use 10” section of 1/2” silicon tubing to connect the reservoir.
What happens when you have to replace the pump and you don't have access to the back of the unit? Can you pull the unit off the wall to replace the pump?
I had the same thought. I was installing an MSZ-FS09NA today with a this pump and the documentation is a nightmare! They refer you to the MyLinkDrive tech notes for MXZ series, branch box system installs rather than making a video on it. Ridiculous. To top it off, the tech notes suck. I did consider placing the reservoir in the wall, to the right of the unit, that way you would just need to remove a wall cover, or cut a small hole in the drywall to access the reservoir for replacement.
yes you need to pump down, disconnect refrigerant pipes and it snaps off from the bottom. If you dont have mighty brackets then your taking it down and replacing it that way

I have an MXZ system with a branch box. I have two different pdf application notes. One says to break RT12 or TH2 with the black (COM) wire from the pump and the other says to break RT12 or TH2 with the yellow wire from the pump. Do I use the yellow or black (COM) wire? If yellow is used, what do I do with the black and red wire? If black is used, what do I do with the yellow and red wires?
Did you eventually figure it out? I am attempting an install of this pump with an MXZ-SM42NAMHZ and branch box. The indoor units are all MSZ-FS09NA and MSZ-FS12NA models. The tech notes on MyLinkDrive suck pretty bad. They need to create a video to address this.
I hope this guy doesn't actually fit ACs. The wiring is poor with lots of exposed copper, twisted connections, as well as reservoir where the wall bracket would go! 🙈

I just had 3 MSZ-AP15VG / MSZ-AP20VG installed in the bedrooms the pump makes enough noise to wake me up at night.
So where is the 1 amp fuse per the install instructions?
Where you just just mounted that rtank is where the lip of the wall bracket goes.....
That's what happens when you get a sales rep (instead of someone who knows what they're doing and why) to describe the installation.

The covers on these units are removable, but I suggest getting a hanging tool. I love my Mighty Bracket but, any brand is fine i'm sure.

Video is terrible. Never be this easy in yhe field. And very poor setup to show installation of this pump.
It gets worse every time I watch this. And the design is piss poor as far as the wiring. Nowhere near enough wire on these pumps. What a joke

Mini splits are useless. Impossible to work on many of them. Pumps are useless. Good old fashioned drain lines or p- traps are better.
