So many great finds, Reney! Well done. And at such a bargain too! Who could resist? We included The Secret Life of Bees in our freshman curriculum. Great book. Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale is banned in both the novel and the newish graphic novel forms. We had a lot of kids interested in reading it after they saw the TV series. It's definitely a book for our times. Really frightening. What a great day you and Donna had. Looking forward to Part 2.
Love the bag 🌈. I have one that says No Probllama with a picture of a llama and Phill and I have agreed that anything that goes in there is no problem 😁. That book sale looks amazing. Loved seeing Richmond 😊 (PS Donna’s lunch looked better 😂)
I have that copy of The Hobbit and I also bought it for the size because I have a large oversized copy illustrated. The smaller size is more comfortable for reading. I Love Black eyed Peas! Nice day trip. -James
What a fun day and the food looked wonderful! There's a used bookstore in my area that sells hardbacks for $1. I always find good books there. The last time I was there, I found an older book that was almost like new and signed by the author! On the inside, the book was previously priced at $75, and I got it for $1! 😁 You got some great books. Colleen Coble is a very popular Christian fiction author. People seem to really enjoy her books. Pie Town sounds great.
@amyc1752 Wow! Good for you! That's an incredible find. I'd bet money that some of the books in that warehouse were signed. They have so many books, I'm SURE they can't check them all. I did see where Coble was a Christian author. Her books get good reviews and they sound good judging by the synopsis - definitely worth a try.
What, no poetry or verse-novels? I'm shocked??!?? I'll have to wait for part two... There are some lovely discoveries there, getting to a book discount warehouse is such joy.
18 books for $25! Woohoo! Coble has written dozens of romances. I can't wait for part 2 🙂. Book outlet in SC is going to be open next weekend. Everything is too far away from me ☹️.
Oh, that's no fun! I thought I did pretty well. It's tough to shop in such a crowded place and I really didn't know what to expect. Next time I'll be more prepared.

Book sale, Clay shop, and lunch date, what a perfect day!!
The best!
Ahh, I got so excited seeing a copy of the Hobbit. Thanks for taking us along your journey 😊
You are so welcome!
Great haul, so far. I’m looking forward to part two!
Thank you and thanks for watching and commenting!
I'll watch part 2 later but great so far. Looks like you had a really good day. Food and books. Perfect.
Heck, yeah!

@@apoetreadstowrite I did not see any poetry that I liked. There wasn't much there as far as poetry was concerned.
@@BeyondBooks-wt5il: ah, my comment was more a light-hearted jab at myself. It looked like a spectacular book barn.

I got ‘The Secret Life of Bees’ at a Library sale. Was planning on reading it in January or February. Loved the video.
Thanks! maybe we can Buddy Read it and then each make a video with our own thoughts and impressions?
@@BeyondBooks-wt5il That sounds great!
@@Adventures_in_Literature awesome, there's still a bit of time, but we can talk about it in a couple of months.
