    If we only had a KOTOR game during the Mandalorian Wars.

      That would be really cool! I would love to play as Revan or even as The Exile and give the order to activate the Mass Shadow Generator. It would be interesting to see Bao-Dur during that time.

      Sadly, there would be only one ending: The Mass Shadow Generator being used. It would have to end with Revan turning to the dark side in order to become strong enough for the final fight if you played as him.

    I can almost see Canderous looking out the port, seeing the Sojourn (Carth's ship), and giving a little nod of respect. "You watch my six and hold that line, my brother. I'll kick this Sith right in the shebs."
    (Okay, the idea of the Star Forge heroes continuing their friendships with each other and the fight to protect the galaxy, hidden from even their home factions, is far too awesome of an idea)

    1:55 wow I just noticed that is the first scene from a New Hope but instead of Rebels, Empire and Vader we have Sith, Mandalorians and Mandalore

      Also, instead of coming through the front door, they came through the adjoining wall. Any idiot can have a blaster-proof door, but walls tend to have minimal security by comparison. :D

    1:24. I like to think that whoever wrote the script for this scene wanted Carth's actor to get tongue-tied.

    Canderous is 63 years old during the Dark Wars (3951 BBY) and he’s still a physically strong. It never gets old with him. Even though Kreia says he is broken, i think physical he not going down! Respect!!! From the Best Elite-Jedi killer in the galaxy.

    If the Mandalorians had served the Republic rather than fight against it. They would have all the Honerable combat they could possibly desire (Defending the Republic as they did here) there are plenty of external threats that require Warriors and soldiers to fight. However the Mandos would be useless in times of peace.

      Aside from what the other guy said, there was no major combatant availible for Mandalorians to wreck house other the Republic, The Sith empire was hidden rebuilding theyre might and had no intention to reveal themselves untill they knew victory was guranteed.

    • @Allronix
      @Allronix 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's oddly a compliment. They want to fight the best. The Republic and Jedi ARE the best. They are strong fighters with great honor and can put up a hell of a fight if you push them. Sith? Good for a paycheck and better about paying then the Hutts, but they aren't worth testing skills against.

    • @mitchellhayward6492
      @mitchellhayward6492 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think your idea of "honerable combat" kind of misses the point. The Mandalorians wanted hard-earned greatness, not easy victories. They wanted to conquer and be the dominant faction in the Galaxy, and have the glory that came with the struggles they would have to endure and overcome to achieve it. They wanted to test themselves against the most dangerous and powerful enemy at the time, and conquer them. That's why they fought the Republic. Because the Sith were not around at the time, and the Mandalorians believed that they were powerful enough to challenge the Republic and replace it as top dog. If the Mandalorians had won, the Jedi Civil War would never have happened, Darth Nihilus would not have even existed, and the events of this game would never have happened. Because the Mandalorians would have hunted what was left of the Jedi and Sith, and welcomed those that were strong enough to survive into their ranks.

    0:33 Not gonna lie, I adore this cutscene, The republic showing it's not out of the fight, and they're gonna fight to save Telos
    But if they'd brought that cutscene in with "All Stars burn as One" (The Old Republic Anthem, from KOTOR 1, think of the music used for Character creation) that would've been the Cherry on top
    Still phenomenal though regardless, Kotor 2 spent a lot of time talking shit about the republic, saying they're weak, stagnant, and overextended, but this scene proved that while weakened, the Republic isn't done yet

    • @PapitoQinn
      @PapitoQinn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not exactly that the republic is weak. More that they weren't really given the chance to prove that they were strong. The mandalorian wars were won because of Revan. And then in this scene, the battle was won because of the Jedi Exile. Did the republic deserve it? I don't know. That's for the individual do decide. But did they earn the victory? I can't say they did.

    • @trivipesnipe
      @trivipesnipe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PapitoQinn Its the fact that the men and women of the Republic are trying their best to fight and protect their ideals that I think is the main point. For all its inefficiencies and bureaucracy, for all of its faults, when push comes to shove the Republic throws everything it has to protect Telos and the last hope for a free Galaxy.

    The Republic was probably better off destroying the Interdictors to water down the firepower. Then they could be worrying about the Ravager with more time.

      Interesting how the dialogue seems to be disconnected from the visuals. They only identify one ship, when there's five. With Wookieepedia saying it's at least five.

    What are those big Mon Calamari like cruisers that the Republic have in the task force that comes out of hyperspace? Right so this is one of the most important planets in the Republic, or at least that's what all of the characters are telling us in this game, and yet they send what I can count anyways 3 Hammerheads... Right,...

    • @PapitoQinn
      @PapitoQinn  7 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Among all the other hundred or so smaller crafts the fleet consisted of about 3 Hammerhead class cruiser and 10 Foray-class blockade runners. While Nihilus' fleet seems to have consisted of hundreds of fighters, 2 Interdictor-class cruisers and his flagship, a Centurion-class battlecruiser. It wasn't Telos itself that was important so much as it's restoration project. Like Atris said, Telos is a test. If the project was a success then the republic can use it as justification to convince the senate to allocate resources towards restoration projects for the other planets that were bombarded into lifelessness during the mandalorian war and jedi civil war. Otherwise those planets are dead forever.

      @@BigZ282 the Republic did have a couple Interdictors and Centurions (However they were probably used exclusively as Core World Planetary Defense Forces) as there were still a few hundred Sith Warships still stable after the Star Forge Exploded (If I were the Republic I would capture those ships and add them to my dwindling ship.
